Salt Lake woman charged with obscene revenge against teen

SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake woman is accused of seeking revenge against a 13-year-old girl by Photoshopping the girl's school picture on the body of a naked woman engaged in bestiality and posting fliers with the altered image around the girl's middle school.

Danette Stark, 37, is charged with 18 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to documents filed Thursday in 3rd District Court.

A custodian found a flier in the seventh-grade girls' bathroom at Salt Lake's Northwest Middle School, 1730 W. 1700 North, on May 25. The assistant principal ultimately found 18 of the fliers with the victim's head on the body of a naked woman shown in an act of bestiality, according to the court documents.

The bottom of the flier listed several profane words and derogatory terms.

A former Orange County police officer surrendered to authorities Tuesday after he was charged with defrauding clients while working as a private investigator and engaging in a conspiracy to commit sexual assault of an animal by posting ads on Craigslist to have women engage in bestiality with his dog, authorities said.

A family group conference is being convened for a 16-year-old boy charged with having sex with a donkey in a Christchurch reserve.

The boy, who has automatic suppression of name because the case is before the Youth Court, has admitted the bestiality offence.

An earlier family group conference was delayed so that a psychiatric report could be prepared on the boy.

Youth advocate Tony Greig today told Youth Court Judge Jane McMeeken that the report had been completed yesterday.

Police in Georgia say 37-year-old Byron Christopher Jordan was caught having sex with horses last week by the animals' owners, according to the Covington News. Police say he was clad only in dirty pajama bottoms, open in the right place of course -- and that he smelled worse than the horses.

(CNN) -- A federal judge sentenced children's author K.P. Bath to six years in prison Thursday for possessing child pornography.
Investigators found a large collection of pornographic photographs and video clips in the Portland, Oregon, home of the author of "The Secret of Castle Cant" and "Escape from Castle Cant," according to a statement federal prosecutors released Thursday.
"Many of the videos graphically depicted the sexual abuse of very young children," the statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Oregon said.
Bath, 51, pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing child pornography.
"It is shocking that a children's author would contribute to the trauma these kids endure -- both physical and emotional trauma from the sexual abuse itself, and psychological trauma from knowing that images of that abuse are circulating on the Internet," U.S. Attorney Dwight Holton said in a statement.
