Trump has to alter NAFTA, generate a border tariff. There is no way around it. Hopefully he leans his ear in the right direction and doesn't drink from the Canadian kool-aid.
Really Canada is a great friend, outside of: stabbing America in the back by entering their corporations on Canadian soil, spreading interest in unions and tampering with their HR departments. If you disregard Canada generating lies about their own citizens, running state media with CSIS and RCMP operatives at CBC, influencing American alt-left media to believe Canadian socialism is Utopia, harbouring terrorists, hackers, spies, and other anti-American people, we are a good friend.
Other than stealing U.S jobs without any innovation, creativity of efficiency, including buying GM off to the tune of hundreds of millions to remain in Ontario at the cost of Ohio and Michigan. Other than softwood lumber, meat labelling disputes, pushing a monarchy/communist agenda against American interests in America. Canada really is a good ally.
If you look away from Canada not paying their NATO obligations in forever while U.S and other allies die in the fight against terror and persecution. If you don't worry about Canada violating International law, Rule of Law, Due Process, covertly spreading hatred and hate propaganda against America. Or Canada looking to create a free trade agreement with Americans sworn enemy, China. Canada is a great friend!
If you don't worry about the annual baby seal clubbing event (in which baby seals as young as a few days old are clubbed to death, their fur sold to some countries...not America since they banned it), entrapment of citizens, embracing and encouraging a Global agenda which is hellbent on destroying America, it's constitution and it's support for individual liberty/accountability, than Canada is a splendid pal!
