I'm on the fence with that one....Personally, I've shot a M-15 and M-16 and would like to own a vintage AK-47....but I don't like the idea of them being auto.

It's not a deflection at all. What you call "auto" are really semi-automatic. They fire one bullet each time the trigger is pulled. In function a so-called "assault rifle" is no different than a typical hunting rifle. If you are "on the fence" about so-called assault weapons, you are on the fence about the 2nd Amendment.
