Woah, relax. I may philosophically disagree Monarchies of any type, anywhere. For those that do, have at it. Go and bow and praise, collect your Royal collectibles. It's good for business and tourism.

At his point in the worlds global economic evolution though, I doubt taxpayers want to be on the hook for so much. There have also been allegations of influence peddling for personal profit going back to the 1980s.

I think that monarchy has been almost the last thing that thwarted their prosperity.
