Australia will press ICC to avoid attacks against Israel

Australia is in zionist's pocket. This is nothing new, nor is it newsworthy.

Australia is one of the greatest peace loving nations on earth. No wonder you hate Australia.
Australia, Israel and the US have one particular thing in common, they were built by people who had escaped the tyranny, greed, bigotry and hypocrisy of Europe.
And then became that.
No, they became the conscience of the western world, countering the tyranny, greed, bigotry and hypocrisy that still runs so strong in the streets of Europe.
Are you really gonna sit there and type/pretend on your computer that tyranny, greed, bigotry and hypocrisy are not all present in Israel?
To some extent that is true of every country, but these have long been core values of European culture. One might reasonably say that to the extent these attributes exist in Israel, Australia or the US, they are just residues of the European culture the people who built these countries escaped from. It is hard to find a time from ancient Rome to today, when Europeans did not preach against tyranny, greed, bigotry and hypocrisy while practicing them.

Australis is willing to be an “important player” in keeping pressure on the International Criminal Court so it is not used as a vehicle to attack Israel, a senior diplomatic official said Sunday, shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop.

Bishop, according to the official, committed Australia to continue defending Israel in hostile international forums, as it has done until now.

The official said Netanyahu was trying to put together a group of nations that – in addition to the US under President Donald Trump – would both take a more aggressive tone against Iran, and also block efforts to castigate Israel in various international forums.

Netanyahu met Bishop shortly before leaving Australia after a five day visit. In that meeting, he raised the idea of “Gaza First” to illustrate how unrealistic it was at this time to talk about a Palestinian state.

Bishop asked Netanyahu to explain comments he made upon his arrival to Australia, when he responded to the calls by two former Australian prime ministers for Canberra to recognize a Palestinian state by replying: “ What kind of state will it be that they are advocating? A state that calls for Israel's destruction? A state whose territory will be used immediately for radical Islam?"

Netanyahu told Bishop that under any possible scenario -- including a two-state solution -- “Israel will have to retain ultimate security control.”

When Bishop asked whether there might be another alternative to Israeli security control, Netanyahu responded: “Is anyone willing to go into Gaza? Is there a force in the world to do it,” he asked. “We left Gaza, and Hamas entered,” he said. “Who is going to go in there to ensure that this does not happen.”

Netanyahu drew on the experiences of international forces such as UNIFIL in Lebanon, UNDORF on the Golan Heights, and EU BAM at the crossings in Gaza – all forces that failed in their mandates – to stress that only Israeli control would be acceptable.

Netanyahu made clear to Bishop that for Israel, a Palestinian state must recognize Israel as the national home of the Jewish people, and be demilitarized, with Israel retaining ultimate security control.

Senior official: Australia will press ICC to avoid attacks against Israel

No intelligent, honest person would quarrel with Netanyahu's formulation.
Who was the Un-named official that is quoted?
Why Does israel feel the need to be shielded from the International criminal court by third parties?

What was actually said:Shorten issued a statement in which he conveyed his party’s opposition to settlement expansion.

“We believe in a two-state solution and we want to see Israel with safe and secure borders, but we also support the right of the Palestinian people to have their own state,” he said. “We expressed the view very clearly that where there are settlements and their expansion, they are a roadblock to peace.”

Shorten, at Wednesday’s luncheon, said his party certainly believes in a two-state solution, but also expects “the Palestinian leadership to recognize Israel’s legitimate right to security. Of course we acknowledge the people of Palestine’s legitimate aspirations, for a state of their own. This will take leadership from both sides.”
Shorten is not part of the Australian government. He is the leader of the opposition, and as opposition leaders always do, he is trying to distinguish his positions from the sitting government's positions.

Do you support Australia's Muslims vowing to take over the country?
Dumb.

Are you off your meds? FYI.

Defend our constitution. No religion in our government.

I don't understand why Australia wants to be involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Maybe the best way to gain peace is letting Israelis and Palestinians alone. They have to talk to each other without any intrusion :)
Australia isn't involved in the conflict, really more a dispute than a conflict, but it is difficult not to become involved in the discussion of it because the Arab/Muslim nations seek to make it an agenda item in as many international venues as possible.

In the present case, the issue is less the disputes between Israel and the Palestinians than it is the integrity of the international organizations the Arab/Muslim states have forced to consider it, the UN and ICC. Australia is a member of both, so if they see clear anti Israel bias at the UN and strong evidence of pressure to introduce that bias into the ICC, if Australia doesn't speak out against it, it becomes complicit in it.

Australia was VERY pro West Bank Jordanians in the early 2000s until the Islamic assholes started blowing up stores.
Muslims are their own worst enemy.
