A degree is english lit does not make you educated. In fact it shows how dumb you are to waste your time on something with no market value.

And having the degree does, in fact, make you educated. Whether it is in a useful field does not change that. He is educated.

What makes no sense is you saying "A degree is english lit does not make you educated", then trying to pretend I said that him being rich meant he is educated. Being rich means he doesn't have to worry about having a degree in a marketable field.
