so what are you taking?

I take them all in one big pill. Here's picture of it:

Suppository? :)

Vicodin #1? Vicodin is for pussies! Oxy all the way! :lol:

Vicondin is Oxy.

Thank GOD we sane Americans just say no to drugs, eh?

FWIW, I don't even think I even have aspirin in my house. (although I do have a couple hits of Vicodin left over from some dental work)

Or if I do, the ASA had probably been laying around for the last decade or so.

My drugs of choice are coffee, cigarettes, chocolate and pot.

Vicodin is NOT oxycontin.

Vicodin= hydrocodone
Ocycontin=oxycodone

Two very different drugs.

so what are you taking?

Zithromax when necessary. and advil for occasional headaches.

I wonder who makes up these names? Do they look in their alphabet soup and say "that's a good one"? Do the Ad agencies control the naming of drugs and if so do they have a team of psychologists to determine how the scrambling of letters appeals to the public?

Why am I not surprised the Vicoden is #1? I wonder if people are aware that they are ingesting a ton of Tylenol to get their morphine fix.

I think I am going to try and become a GI doctor. There is going to be a lot of work to be done in managing liver failure in the near future.

never heard about any drugs from the top 10 :eusa_eh:

mostly I use Aspirin, Nemisil or Tempalgin (from headache)

#10 is a "water pill", a diuretic for high blood pressure. #9 is an insulin sensitizer (but no one really knows know the hell it works) for pre-diabetes and diabetes. It also helps some people to lose weight. 7 and 8 are antibiotics. 6 is a proton pump inhibitor/makes the stomach less acidic for acid reflux/heart burn. 5 is also for high blood pressure. 4 is synthetic thryroid hormone for people who have had their thyroids removed or have non-funcitoning thyroids. 3 is also for blood pressure and to protect the kidneys of diabetics. 2 is for cholesterol. 1 is a pain pill

Every drug has a generic name (that the medical profession knows it by) and a brand name. The brand name is picked by advertising agencies for obvious reasons.

Yeah but who makes up the scrambled letter generic and brand names. Is there some sort of code for the confusing array of letters or is it some sort of psychological game played by Ad agencies?

so what are you taking?

Good news. All of those meds are generics.

Bad news. A narcotic should not be number one.

What ever happened to the FDA recommendation to stop these combined meds? That was proposed over 2 years ago, IIRC.

The amount of tylenol I see people take (mostly through stuff like this) is alarming as hell. And when I try to restrict them or suggest alternatives they go nuts on me.
