The diplomatic facet of the Iraq challenge was to get the elected Iraqi officials to form up a government and quit the stalling. That would've been a real "diplomatic" challenge for the administration to have done so, it was all they had to do, it is supposed to be their greatest calling, their forté, and they have not risen to that challenge.

It took America a few years after a war to create a workable Government.

The insurgents were going to "up the ante" regardless of when we announce our decision leave. It's time for them (The Iraqis) to learn to take care of themselves.

The insurgents were going to "up the ante" regardless of when we announce our decision leave. It's time for them (The Iraqis) to learn to take care of themselves.

Of course it's time, but you do not leave 50,000 men and women ass hanging on a thread for political points bring them home or leave them there until the job is done.

interesting point. Yes the obama machine was supposed to be the end all be all, the politcal whiz kids...... It is interesting that they have not helped them find common ground, but then again, all they appear to be good at is splitting people and putting them at each others throats, thor ramming things up the populaces asses.
They have nothing to really bribe them with, so community organizing rah rah entitlement promises won't work.... so they are out of of ideas.
In all seriousness who knows if they even tried?
