Americans clearly voted their disgust with the Liberal Agenda.

This has been the mantra of every Right Wing hack since the election. Republicans won. It is because Americans are sick of Progressives, and sent a clear mandate that they want Republicans to stop Obama, and his Liberal agenda.

Are you sure about that? Really? Have you actually asked what American voters want? The Wall Street Journal did this week. the answers were...confusing...to say the least.

The top five things that Americans want the incoming Congress do work on are, in order:

  • Lower Student Loans
  • Infrastructure (Increase spending on Roads, and highway projects)
  • Raise the minimum wage
  • Address Climate Change
  • Approve funding to fight Ebola in West Africa

So, American voters want the incoming Congress to do the very things that the people the American voters just elected to be in charge of Congress are vehemently, and adamantly opposed to doing. So, surely, American voters must be feeling pretty stupid right now, right? Actually, no. In the exact same poll, when asked how they feel about the last election, 53% said they feel positive about the outcome of the election.

So, lets recap. over half of the country feels good about electing the party to be in control of Congress that is guaranteed to not do the very things that the clear majority of the country feels are the five most important things for Congress to do.

What clear mandate were you right wingers talking about again?

Wait............

What?

Time out.

We need a liberal huddle.
Yeah. It's almost as if the average American voter doesn't seem to have a very clear idea about which party has which ideology, or what priorities are important to whom...

These were 1,000 interviews. Hell, that definitely meets the criteria of an excellent representation of the United States. So, there you have it. You have just been advised of what the corporate media has decided that the Americans will focus on.

This is what so many people do. They change support for something into the top five things people want done. That is not what the poll said and one has to wonder where the poll was taken because not one replied fix the economy and create more jobs. In fact the question was not even asked. This whole poll smells.

If you've taken a course in statistics, you'll find you can make the statistic reveal you own agenda very easily. I'm sure we all have been duped here on the board at some time.

Well that D operative that called people who voted D stupid may have had a point.

the ones that did vote, voted against the president.... but not too many actually voted....the lowest turn out for an election in 75 years...

I thought it was amusing that Obama assumed that those who didn't vote would have voted for his party while most of us assumed they were just plain too disgusted to vote.

1. Republicans can try, but most of the amnesty would still go into effect.
2. Obama will sell out the native Americans opposed to the pipeline, and the environmentalists that were suckered into voting for Obama. But Republicans will have to give up something to Obama, or he will just veto the pipeline till the day he leaves office. He won't give away his biggest bargaining chip for free.
3. Not going to happen, as like the Pipeline it is a bargaining chip - but it is one that Democrats will refuse to play. Obama will veto ACA reform, and the best Republicans can do is limit funding.
4. Not going happen unless you use a military force the size of which was deployed in Iraq right on the border - the trillion dollar price tag alone would make most politicians baulk at the idea of it. There won't be a fix of the border, just a lot of hot air and politicians claiming they will.
5. Well, removing export restrictions will give America European gas prices, and Republicans will have to give up their SUVs and big cars. Though oil companies will make a profit.

The idea is to present the CITIZENS with policies and watch the POSER veto them, then use it in the 2016 campaign to FUCK UP the next subversive pretender!
