Solar power starts ascent in Texas | Business | Dallas News

Texas is easily the No. 1 state in wind, with more than twice the capacity of California.

On solar, however, Texas has been lagging. It ranked No. 10 among the states in solar power as of September. Texas doesn’t match the incentives of some states and has an abundant supply of other cheap energy, including natural gas.

But prices for solar panels have fallen over 80 percent since 2009, making it competitive with fossil fuels. That’s ramped up the outlook in Texas, because there’s plenty of sun, a growing population, a huge electric load and a hyper-competitive electricity market.

Last year, solar installations on ERCOT grew almost 50 percent. This year, solar generation could jump sixfold, according to ERCOT projections, which are based on developer agreements to connect with the grid.

By 2030, solar will add 14,100 megawatts of power if proposed rules to cut emissions and haze remain in place, ERCOT estimates. That could power over 2 million homes in the summer. And if solar builds out as projected, it would account for more new capacity than wind and natural gas plants combined, ERCOT said.

Damn those ultra-liberals in Texas.
Its such an exciting time.
Exciting time for you is it?

How excited does Tommy get watching solar panels?

I'd have a more exciting time watching you chasing a bus tire.

World wide economic melt down and global jihad is pretty exiting, don[t you think?

Of course, they must wait till Barry leaves office before it hits the fan. We can't have him fail.

Dont you think that all this progress is a good thing ? Think about the benefits this will bring to mankind.

I always applaud progress Tommy.

Climate change may or may not be occurring, but is is for sure NOT caused by human fossil fuels use. There is no empirical evidence that fossil fuels use affects climate.
And yet, the percentage of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere keeps going up and up and up .... :eusa_whistle:
.

Naturally.

If you are familiar with the ice core samples, as the average temperature of the Earth goes up, the atmosphere as I'm sure you would be aware, can hold more CO2, thus that equilibrium that we are talking about can be pushed upward.

None the less, the Earth's naturally ability to filter out CO2 will continue unabated.

That percentage will continue to increase as the temperature rises.

Classifying CO2, (the gas you exhale,) as a pollutant is the most absurd thing I have heard since classifying a plant as an illegal substance. Seriously though, if the big brother finds certain plants on your property, you could lose your house. That is how insane governments are. People believe this shit. Their breath is a pollutant which can be taxed and plants are illegal. wtf?
Beale, sometime post an article from a peer reviewed journal that backs your silly flap yap. You cannot because there are no such articles. We know how much coal and oil we have burned. And if it were not for the oceans absorbing CO2, the percentage in the atmosphere would be far higher. However, as the oceans warm, they lose their ability to absorb CO2. So more of what we produce will stay in the atmosphere, and result in more rapid warming. There is no other source for the rapid increase in CO2 in the last 150 years.

PLANETOPHYSICAL STATE OF THE EARTH AND LIFE

PLANETOPHYSICAL STATE OF THE EARTH AND LIFE
Summary Paragraph

Current PlanetoPhysical alterations of the Earth are becoming irreversible. Strong evidence exists that these transformations are being caused by highly charged material and energetic non-uniformity's in anisotropic interstellar space which have broken into the interplanetary area of our Solar System. This "donation" of energy is producing hybrid processes and excited energy states in all planets, as well as the Sun. Effects here on Earth are to be found in the acceleration of the magnetic pole shift, in the vertical and horizontal ozone content distribution, and in the increased frequency and magnitude of significant catastrophic climatic events. There is growing probability that we are moving into a rapid temperature instability period similar to the one that took place 10,000 years ago. The adaptive responses of the biosphere, and humanity, to these new conditions may lead to a total global revision of the range of species and life on Earth. It is only through a deep understanding of the fundamental changes taking place in the natural environment surrounding us that politicians, and citizens a like, will be able to achieve balance with the renewing flow of PlanetoPhysical states and processes.

LOL That is about the dumbest piece of trash masquerading as science I have read in a long time. Pure trash.

OMICS Publishing Group is a publisher of open access journals that is widely regarded as predatory.[2][3][4][5][6][7] It issued its first publication in 2008.[8] According to a 2012 article in The Chronicle of Higher Education about 60 percent of the group's 200 journals had never actually published anything.[9]

Academics and the United States government have questioned the validity of peer review by OMICS journals, the appropriateness of author fees and marketing, and the apparent advertising of the names of scientists as journal editors or conference speakers without their knowledge or permission.[3][4][5][6][7] As a result, the U.S. National Institutes of Health does not accept OMICS publications for listing in PubMed Central and sent a cease-and-desist letter to OMICS in 2013, demanding that OMICS discontinue false claims of affiliation with U.S. government entities or employees.[6] OMICS has responded to criticisms by avowing a commitment to open access publishing, claiming that detractors are traditional subscription-based publishers who feel threatened by their open access publishing model,[10] and threatening a prominent critic with a US$1 billion lawsuit.[9]

Your second site is worse than trash, using fraud as in listing names of scientists that have nothing, and want nothing to do, with the OMICS International organization.
