Of the above listed European countries with American soldiers' cemeteries, only the governments of the Netherlands and Italy chose to fight for freedom in Iraq. The majority of the populations of France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, vehemently opposed fighting for freedom in Iraq. Unlike Albania, these countries enjoyed the American defense umbrella over Western Europe and never suffered under Soviet oppression. America appreciates the solidarity of the Albanians in the fight for freedom. America will not forget the perverse Western Europeans who sided with the Iraqi despot and chose not to fight for freedom.

"Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves; and, under a just God, can not long retain it." - Abraham Lincoln - April 6, 1859

That is good the Albanians stand with us, their support should not be forgotten.
