with Michael Duignan highlighting Kilkenny's "work rate" and the "meticulous planning" to ensure that they are at full tilt under the watchful eye of team trainer Mick Dempsey.

Duignan added that "the spread of scorers from their forwards was incredible and that "they were a threat from every angle."

Liam Sheedy added that the Cats' power and depth up front is "phenomenal" and applauded the way their defence "drove at the ball".

Tomás Mulcahy, however, did highlight "a bit of panic" that set in after Galway's second goal, with the Corkman bemoaning Galway's inability to "kick on" after that green flag.

Duignan feels, and he woudn't be alone in this, that Galway need to "play more direct ball" into Joe Canning and that in general they need to "move the ball a lot faster".

Yet, he finished up by saying that Galway could "have a real say" in this year's championship.
