This is a global industry-parable inspired by Canadian Bacon and Wag the Dog.

How should commerce influence Orwellian storytelling (and free-speech issues)?

This is the discussion which should involve U.S. President Donald Trump, not sex-scandals or ethics-piracy!

Signing off,

"A Wal-Mart opened in the war-ridden land of Kabul (Afghanistan) and the people embraced the democratic optimism completely (if not the implicit religious compromises). A young Muslim Afghan boy named Aziz asked his father to purchase a cute Aquaman wrist-watch for him. Everything seemed normally commercial!

There was so much water-pollution in Afghanistan that a fish living underwater mutated to become a humanoid named Aquaman(!). This 'mutant-avenger' believed that the world should be admonished for its gross neglect of eco-consciousness. Aquaman swam around looking for trash dumped in the water. He noticed Aziz's watch on the beach one day and realized the image on the boy's watch resembled himself! Aquaman questioned the value of human artisanship (and mercantilism!).

Unfortunately, the water-pollution was so bad that the mythical 'omen-protector' of Earth, the fabled Lady of the Lake rose from the deep and asked Aquaman to help her feel clean and safe from the reach of polluting industrialization (of the West!). Aquaman and the Lady of the Lake became 'sirens' for the new world of commerce-gauged political norms. The two spirits conversed about Aziz's Aquaman wrist-watch!

As Aziz grew up, he became a big fan of Western (American) comic books and comic book heroes such as Green Arrow and Black Canary (DC Comics). Aziz wondered if the archery-skills boasted by the two superheroes signified a real human focus (sincere?) on the prioritization of eco-vitality in comparison to industry and commerce. Aziz conjectured that Green Arrow's 'magic-arrows' should be shot at symbolic industrialization 'hubs' (such as Target stores) to remind everyone of the value of commerce temperance.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump was dealing with sexual-misconduct allegations, which prompted First Lady Melania Trump to claim she was considering filing for divorce. While Aziz thought about Green Arrow and Black Canary, Aquaman and the Lady of the Lake wondered if the West (America, etc.) had succumbed to the dangerous influence of the Biblical adversary, the mysterious and elusive Harlot of Babylon --- a symbol of gluttony in the modern world.

Fortunately, Aziz carried his Aquaman wrist-watch always and continued to believe his Wal-Mart gift would always represent eco-awareness to him and reflect his love of Aquaman (DC Comics) stories and environment-themed heroism. As CNN journalist Christiane Ananpour wrote about the impact of Wal-Mart in Kabul, Aziz wondered if his Aquaman wrist-watch was good (Utopian) or evil (exploitative). First Lady Melania Trump would go on to become a staunch supporter of East-West fashions/customs integration (e.g., Wal-Mart, Al Jazeera TV, UNICEF, etc.)."
