GAZA, (PIC)-- Mahmoud Abbas, the PA chief whose term in office expired over a year ago, is pressuring the Arab countries to support negotiations with Israel without halting settlement activity and without any commitment to Palestinian rights, Taher Al-Nunu, the spokesman of the PA government in Gaza, said.

He added in a statement to Quds Press on Wednesday that Abbas and his Ramallah authority want to give away Palestinian rights, "a thing that we will never permit".

The negotiations would only beautify Israel's image, Nunu said, charging Abbas with attempting to offer concessions with Arab cover.

Anything that results from those negotiations would not be binding to the Palestinian people, the spokesman underlined.

He said that those embarking on negotiations represent an isolated group of our people and almost all Palestinian factions had rejected those talks.

Why would israel agree to things BEFORE negotiations?

Who does that???? Other than Israel who is ever ASKED to do that? :cuckoo:

But thanks for proving once again that it isn't "justice" you want, it's just spreading propaganda.

Israel always demands huge concessions from Palestinians before any talks can begin.

    You're the Forum Dunce.
In the 2000 Camp David peace talks, in the presence of Bill Clinton, Israel offered 100% of Gaza and 95% of the West Bank, including a $30 BILLION foreign aid package. Arafat rejected the Israeli offer.

    Pallies made no concessions.

In his memoir, Clinton writes the Israeli proposal was so "good" that he was surprised Arafat was "foolish" to reject it.

Saudi intermediary Prince Bandar ordered Arafat to accept the offer, saying it was so strong, and when he rejected it, Bandar fumed at Arafat that he committed "a crime against the Palestinian people and against the entire region"

Earlier, Israel surrendered Sinai to Egypt in exchange for peace, a landmass 3x the size of Israel and with oil reserves. Egypt made no concessions.

Israel also has ceded 50% of the West Bank as part of the Oslo Accords. Pallies made no concessions.

The Pallies have made no concessions for peace.

Your ignorance on these matters is why you are the Forum Dunce.

Arafat rejected it because he knew he'd be killed by his own terrorists. I believe his exact words were that he'd love to sign but he'd "be drinking tea with Rabin".

Sadat lost his life making peace.

Rabin lost his life for wanting peace.

    Arafat was a coward.

According to Dennis Ross, Arafat walked away from Camp David because in his heart, Arafat was a terrorist and terrorists simply do not make peace.

Whatever the reason, the Forum Dunce was incorrect suggesting Israel doesn't make concessions, as he always is.

    He's the Forum Dunce.

Dennis Ross is a lying sack of crap. Arafat walked away from Camp David because the proposal sucked.

You don't even know what the proposal was.
