I consider myself a proud radical, a revolutionary who likes to spread his ideals both in person and online. I am a first generation immigrant from Asia who has served in the United States Army. I have lived in many different regions of the country, from Alabama to New York to Michigan to Arizona.

I named myself after Comrade Gonzalo, aka Abimael Guzman, who led a socialist uprising in Peru in the 1980's and 1990's. Although he was under the constant threat of arrest or assassination, he never stopped fighting for the poor and oppressed indigenous peoples of rural Peru. In 1992, he was arrested for his revolutionary beliefs, but he refused to recant his values, and even though he is serving a life sentence for his opposition to the Peruvian government, he remains as strongly devoted to the revolutionary cause as ever. His courage and devotion to the people through thick and thin are values that I want to emulate.

I believe that there needs to be a peaceful revolution here in the United States. There is systematic racism, extreme sexism, and a culture of cutthroat capitalism where the workers suffer just to fatten the pockets of billionaires. This system of hate and greed is unsustainable, and must be overthrown sooner or later.

I enjoy explaining my views to other people, and listening to what they have to say. Hopefully, I will enlighten the other users of this forum about what I think the best path for this country is.

Abimael Guzman? The guy that caused the deaths of a tens of thousands Peruvians? The guy that attacked people that didn't agree with him? The guy that supposedly sold out his whole movement for benefits in prison? The guy that loved Maoism? The same Maoism that killed like 50M people? Yeah, stellar guy!
Good gawd man.

Welcome. The Left here could certainly use someone with a knack for the English language. Most are illiterate morons.

The Shining Path Revealed: Behind the Lies & Propaganda

The Shining Path is not nearly as bad as the right wing, U.S backed propaganda against them says. Did they fight hard for the rights of the poor and oppressed? Of course. Is fighting hard a bad thing? Not in this case, no. And the government they were trying to liberate Peru from, the far right fascist government of Alberto Fujimori, was FAR worse in any case.

As for Mao, he turned China from a feudal dictatorship where peasants and women had no rights into a successful modern superpower with the world's strongest economy today and 97 percent literacy (higher than that of the US)

One can accomplish much while herding people at the barrel of a gun.

He is also one of the biggest mass murderers in recorded history.
And Alberto wasn't even President when Abimael started his bullshit.
Hitler also cleansed Germany from the evil Jews and Jehovah Witnesses. Sieg Hiel!

The problem is that socialists make things worse, not better. The more government intervenes in the marketplace the worse it gets, government is too bloated with bureaucracy to adjust to market forces and doesn't have the motivation to anyway.

The economy will do better without central control from big mother government and the better the economy is the better the job situation will be. Companies will compete for workers instead of having a pick of a thousand for a grunt job.

I hope that you are an anarcho-communist then.

Only so long as he is experiencing the violence inherent in the system....
