Yup...my stomach just turned. I would have been way more comfortable with the idea if it was me who was going to be drafted. I have real issues about it when it comes to my son.
I've said it once if I've said it a million times. There shouldn't be any ground engagements. Just get in, drop the bombs, and get it out, nothing gained nothing lost. It is not our responsibility to clean up, if the proper diplomatic paths are followed. For instance: disarm or be bombed. They will choose to be bombed, and cleaning up isn't our responsibility.
Bush has made it clear he means what the says-----He can get on the boob tube announce they have 2 weeks.
Airstrikes just don't do it. In the end, every other unit in the military in designed to support the ground pounders. We could destroy facilities night and day, but without a ground invasion, we can't end the threat.
I'm just wondering how long it's going to take for the rest of the EU and Russia and China to realize that this isn't just some diplomatic game. War is on the horizon and we got to prepare for it. I know I'm ready to fight for my country, I'm just wondering if the rest of my fellow Americans are.
