Looking at all the information about the united religions brings a lot of questions to my mind.

Blending the God's is an article that describes a portion of what is happening.
Blending of the Gods - The United Religions Initiative Global Charter Signing | John Ankerberg Show

The New Living Bible translation which gives government as the ultimate authority came out in 1997.

The signing of the agreement by some religions happened in 2013. I'll have to find that video to share here. Mormons, Evangelicals and many others were not a part of this agreement. I came across some information late last night and tried to do a whois to find the owner of the website but was denied acess. It took awhile but the final jest of it was that the push is coming from the EU pushing for the Euro as the ultimate authority.

I think there is some confusion. This is about conflict resolution and respecting someones religion without having to adopt it as your own. There are several different organizations that are made up of people from different religions similar to the one above.

That said, while the concept is admirable. It makes no sense to have this at one end and come to the conclusions the UN has in other areas. They are johnny come lately at any rate. Clearly grass-roots anything should be looked at very, very carefully.

Expecting and watching out for it in our day is to turn a blind eye that this already occured in formation of Christianity under the Roman Empire's authority as John of Patmos was warning "was happening in his age=present tense" not future tense.
Any emulation is just the 2 horn (power)system finishing the job and repeating historical attempts at taxing all kingdoms under the guise of tithes to their gods.

The New World Order Antichrist System

The America of our forefathers is now defunct. America has chosen to follow the gods of this world and defy the God of Heaven. They have forsaken the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water (Jeremiah 2:9-13). What is coming next are some things that every one of us will be forced to face. We won’t just read about them or hear about them happening with people that we may know or people down the street. These things are going to affect every one of us.

America is now ready for the appearance of the Antichrist and is prepared to accept their ultimate destiny.

They run in the same realm a government ruling over the top of people. Socialism leads to Communism. Hitlers form was just referred to as Nazi. With a lot these giant corporate's, insurance, bankers, huge union entities, etc... we have something similar going down when they can use illegal and unethical measures to take out smaller businesses or strip privates of their honest, hard earned wealth. Thinking back to how desperate these thugs were here that used illegal crap in the courts I just recall things like when Rod overheard the attorneys of the opposition in the hallway trying to keep their clients illegal crap covered. One said to the other, "get one of them preferably her" (try to make it look like I was lying with word plays. I was really sick and scheduled for surgery a few days later so brain wasn't fully functional either and they knew it). That is when they were hard and heavy out to steal the land from us. When I start looking at what all is going on now with so many of these peeps out there being deviant propagandist it reminds me of all of that. Their clients were the ones who committed major frauds. F'ers even rigged the jury with people who have bogus deeds on our land in that particular deal.

Those in Evil try to do the same thing. It tries to appear as truth but in fact it thrives in lies with bogus crap. (sometimes I'd like to take peeps that dude doing the radio show by the neck and give them a good shake) They fully intend on taking this country right out from under the people if they can. I know they won't succeed but it get my ire up to know some people are ignorant enough to follow along down that path to being slaughtered.

I think faith is best exercised as a personal thing not as a collective thing undertaken under the aegis of an organization. I suspect that many people privately aggregate elements of multiple theologies into their own catechism. I think that's both fine and fitting so long as they don't end up with an incoherent "bastard" of a belief system.

What religion a person chooses is their own personal choice and of course as long as they are not violent or pushing agendas against liberty I personally have no problem with them.

Interfaith Alliance has a chapter in each state. Their thing is to work out their differences while being true to whatever their religion is. To the best of my knowledge, Rabbi Sacks is not involved in this organization in any way.

There are a multitude of groups and people that are involved in interfaith dialogue because they are also involved in conflict resolution. Rabbi Sacks just happens to be my favorite. I first came across Rabbi Sacks through his book The Dignity of Difference: how to avoid the clash of civilizations. That came out in 2002. He has a gift.

Preamble, Purpose, & Principles – United Religions Initiative North America

Preamble, Purpose, & Principles
Preamble

We, people of diverse religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions throughout the world, hereby establish the United Religions Initiative to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings.

We respect the uniqueness of each tradition, and differences of practice or belief.

We value voices that respect others, and believe that sharing our values and wisdom can lead us to act for the good of all.

We believe that our religious, spiritual lives, rather than dividing us, guide us to build community and respect for one another.

Therefore, as interdependent people rooted in our traditions, we now unite for the benefit of our Earth community.

We unite to build cultures of peace and justice.

We unite to heal and protect the Earth.

We unite to build safe places for conflict resolution, healing and reconciliation.

We unite to support freedom of religion and spiritual expression, and the rights of all individuals and peoples as set forth in international law.

We unite in responsible cooperative action to bring the wisdom and values of our religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions to bear on the economic, environmental, political and social challenges facing our Earth community.

We unite to provide a global opportunity for participation by all people, especially by those whose voices are not often heard.

We unite to celebrate the joy of blessings and the light of wisdom in both movement and stillness.

We unite to use our combined resources only for nonviolent, compassionate action, to awaken to our deepest truths, and to manifest love and justice among all life in our Earth community.

Purpose
The purpose of the United Religions Initiative is to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings.

Principles
1. The URI is a bridge-building organization, not a religion.

2. We respect the sacred wisdom of each religion, spiritual expression and indigenous tradition.

3. We respect the differences among religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions.

4. We encourage our members to deepen their roots in their own tradition.

5. We listen and speak with respect to deepen mutual understanding and trust.

6. We give and receive hospitality.

7. We seek and welcome the gift of diversity and model practices that do not discriminate.

8. We practice equitable participation of women and men in all aspects of the URI.

9. We practice healing and reconciliation to resolve conflict without resorting to violence.

10. We act from sound ecological practices to protect and preserve the Earth for both present and future generations.

11. We seek and offer cooperation with other interfaith efforts.

12. We welcome as members all individuals, organizations and associations who subscribe to the Preamble, Purpose and Principles.

13. We have the authority to make decisions at the most local level that includes all the relevant and affected parties.

14. We have the right to organize in any manner, at any scale, in any area, and around any issue or activity which is relevant to and consistent with the Preamble, Purpose and Principles.

15. Our deliberations and decisions shall be made at every level by bodies and methods that fairly represent the diversity of affected interests and are not dominated by any.

16. We (each part of the URI) shall relinquish only such autonomy and resources as are essential to the pursuit of the Preamble, Purpose and Principles.

17. We have the responsibility to develop financial and other resources to meet the needs of our part, and to share financial and other resources to help meet the needs of other parts.

18. We maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct, prudent use of resources, and fair and accurate disclosure of information.

19. We are committed to organizational learning and adaptation.

20. We honor the richness and diversity of all languages and the right and responsibility of participants to translate and interpret the Charter, Bylaws and related documents in accordance with the Preamble, Purpose and Principles, and the spirit of the United Religions Initiative.

21. Members of the URI shall not be coerced to participate in any ritual or be proselytized.

It sounds like an extension of similar principles of UU and Bahai.

the main parts I saw problems with are 16 and 17 where individuals sound like they are expected to submit to group agenda. The collective authority or agenda cannot have more power than individuals without defining due process in case of conflict between the collective and the individual choice.

Dear RodISHI
I think the principles I found online are a good guideline for groups to use to interact with each other. But not to put any centralized authority in the hands of any one group or person.

Individual people should retain free and equal choice of leadership and authority that can change with each situation.

I don't think this was set up to institutionalize a central authority or system.
But it was intended as a guideline for people to get on the same page in order to collaborate on their own. And avoid conflicts by not getting caught up in authority or control issues.

I agree with you that does sound good and as long as people remain free to make choices of their own it shouldn't be a problem. Yet we all should know by now that when large bodies of people get together problems can ensue if one or more gets screwy ideas and goes out to push agendas that go against liberty or takes away from someone else without their consent.

Not going to happen for as long as there are people there will be ones who seek to understand the spirit within them.
