How is she not unknowingly being ripped off? That poor old lady should better check her account, because someone is ripping her off big time.

"I decided to look into @actblue in Austin, TX.

I spoke with Ann who is a 80+ year-old living in a retirement home. Over the last 6 years according to @FEC she has made 26,143 donations or 11.9 donations a day for 2,190 days straight on average. Totaling $161,541.70 in donations.

Either someone is making donations on her behalf, has access to her bank account or @Actblue is using the elderly to launder money to politicians.

So the dems are the new Oral Roberts for the infirm elderly?

The Dems are just acting on the government's behalf, and reclaiming some of that money the government had no right to in the first place. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future, they'll be looting graves for wedding rings and gold teeth.

The party of millionaires that like to fuck kids is built on racism and grifting. They probably haven't won a POTUS election since the 60's. We all scratched our heads when that anonymous muzzie faggot from kenya won.... not once, but twice.

Yeah.... we get it now.

Money laundering.

Act Blue wasn't verifying where the cards making the donations were coming from.
Foreign actors & others could buy cash gift cards & use them to make donations using multiple people who are totally unaware their identity is used to launder the illegal contributions.

These are sctual RICO campaign finance fraud violations & the poor people who had made the mistake of donating before the Act Blue were being dragged into a multitude of coordinated interstate money laundering felonies.

If you click on the Trump fundraising links and don't pay attention, your donation amount is automatically repeated over and over unless you uncheck a box.

It's a really sleazy practice.

I'm sure this is the case with a lot of political fundraising sites.

Trump’s campaign exploited default opt-in settings. It cost his supporters millions.

Recurring donations and "money bomb" checkboxes were pre-checked for donors.

How Trump Steered Supporters Into Unwitting Donations

Online donors were guided into weekly recurring contributions. Demands for refunds spiked. Complaints to banks and credit card companies soared. But the money helped keep Donald Trump’s struggling campaign afloat.

Stacy Blatt was in hospice care last September listening to Rush Limbaugh’s dire warnings about how badly Donald J. Trump’s campaign needed money when he went online and chipped in everything he could: $500.

It was a big sum for a 63-year-old battling cancer and living in Kansas City on less than $1,000 per month. But that single contribution — federal records show it was his first ever — quickly multiplied. Another $500 was withdrawn the next day, then $500 the next week and every week through mid-October, without his knowledge — until Mr. Blatt’s bank account had been depleted and frozen. When his utility and rent payments bounced, he called his brother, Russell, for help.
What the Blatts soon discovered was $3,000 in withdrawals by the Trump campaign in less than 30 days. They called their bank and said they thought they were victims of fraud.

“It felt,” Russell said, “like it was a scam.”

But what the Blatts believed was duplicity was actually an intentional scheme to boost revenues by the Trump campaign and the for-profit company that processed its online donations, WinRed. Facing a cash crunch and getting badly outspent by the Democrats, the campaign had begun last September to set up recurring donations by default for online donors, for every week until the election.

Contributors had to wade through a fine-print disclaimer and manually uncheck a box to opt out.

I see I've upset Doc7505 with some facts which may have bearing on this issue.
