120 Days to Go Until the Largest Tax Hike in History to add to our "recovery summer."

Yes the lets borrow $2 trillon to give tax cuts to the ultra wealthy. All that economic stimulus we saw from the tax cut will surely be missed. All those jobs and prosperity that trickled down

Lets put the taxes back were they were before and pay down our debt

Oh good Lord.... tax cuts for the wealthy.... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Well at least your willing to raise taxes on the lowest income brackets to help pay down the debt.

I really dont support raising the federal income tax on American's earning 5 figure incomes......
Yeah.....they might have to tap-into the pittance they've saved, to-date, to cover those taxes....

Who are our societies slackers?

Is it the working class who work longer hours and have more productivity than anyone on the planet? Are they the slackers?

Then why is their standard of living declining? Why can't they afford to buy houses, pay for medical care, send their kids to school?

Bunch of slackers

The examples you point to don't discredit the posts you quoted shaman.
What a quaint, little, detail-free, generalized statement.

It almost sounds as if you put some effort into it....as if you expected it to make some kind o' sense.

The Bush tax cuts were foolish. They should not be renewed.

Yeah, that explains Bush's unemployment rates vs. Obama's.

And just WAIT until the taxes go up, to see those unemployment rates climb!

On the date Bush was inaugurated - January 18, 2001 - The unemployment rate was 3.8%.

On the date Bush left office - January 20, 2009 - the unemployment rate was 8.1%

The unemployment rate skyrocketed under Bush. The rate increased by 113% over the eight years of the Bush administration.

......And, when you rub-their-noses-into-it.....they've got no defense!!!

If this does happen,it's safe to say the Democrats are all done for many years to come. I don't think it's gonna happen though. There are an awful lot of Democrats who are against letting these tax cuts expire. I guess we'll see though.

Why did Bush set up his tax cuts to expire?

Toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy......

"....President Bush and a complicit Congress didn’t want to show the magnitude of the deficits that would result from their tax cuts."

He's off hunting, fishing, eathing filet mignon and drinking fine wine out in Crawford!!!

The Bushes actually live in Dallas now. So much for your rapt attention to all things important.

Let's be fair.....we Dems never referred to you 'Baggers as slackers. You're (just) not the most-sophisticated-folks, when it comes to politics/policy.

You can't jump-into politics (for two-years....'cause it's the hip/trendy-thing-to-do) and fully-understand the workings o' D.C. You can't ignore politics, for a majority o' your life, and then decide you've magically come-up with all o' the quick & easy answers that no one (else) has discovered.

Wouldn't you find it more-satisfying to go back to being full-time NASCAR-fans, again....and, let more-knowledgeable-people pursue all-things-political? :eusa_eh:

The difference is....we've got precedent on our side.

:clap2:

"Not only was the entire national deficit eliminated after raising taxes on the wealthy in 1993, but the economy grew so fast for the remainder of the decade that many conservative economists thought that the Fed should raise the prime interest rate in order to slow it down."

(Whoops! Sorry, 'Baggers.......)

precedent: prior in time, order, arrangement, or significance.

Many Democrats don't understand that we are talking about the tax cuts for the rich and not everyone else. When they understand that, most of the time their opinions change.

Do you notice liberals are always obsessing about how the "government" will "pay" for tax cuts, but they never talk about how WE WILL PAY FOR TAX HIKES?????????

It doesn't matter that it has been proved time and time again tax cuts RAISE REVENUES, because it frees up money in the economy, libreals will talk about "paying for tax cuts."

Same old tired game.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Democrats believe that the Federal Government IS the US economy!

:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

Exactly! That is the heart of their Keyesian/Socialist thinking. They don't want a private sector, they want us all dependent on government.

Tell the class more about Keyes' economic plan? I didn't even know that carpetbagger Alan Keyes had an economic plan, or that libs liked it.
