Well? What did you have for dinner tonight??

A pot of homemade vegetable stew. And I made too much. Does anyone know if it would be safe for me to freeze it and save it for another time ? I hate for it to spoil it is really good. 🙂 :thup:
 
I've been binging this thread and HOLY SHIT am I hungry now.

Tonight the wife's making vegetable lo mein with egg.
 
Finally mastered the deep fried chicken Sunday afternoon!!
We ruined the first two attempts by trying to keep the oil at 350,the crust would burn long before the chicken reached the proper temp.
We learned that 350 is the proper starting temp but you have to let the temp drop to 300 and leave it there.
The interior temp reached the right temp long before the crust burned.
It came out perfect!!!

I uh..didn't really know what to do, so I took some hamburger and half-browned it, then took it off and put cold water and roux

(whisked)

in the pan with some frozen mixed vegetables, brought it to a boil for about 2 minutes then turned it off.

(And let it thicken for about 4 minutes)

It was great over toast! I added some onion and garlic powder & salt n pepper while it was boiling.

Chicken n Dumplings with carrots and a pack of mixed vegetables in it.

Ideally it would have been just carrots and green peas.

Kinda overdid it on the liquid, too. Less liquid next time,

ended up having to reduce the stock for a number of minutes.
