NFL teams like the Packers last season - lost 6 games - some badly.

But they got to redeem themselves when the y made they playoffs.

Yet Notre Dame (and this is not the only example) got screwed in 1993.

Beat Florida States decisively (up 24-7 at haltime - FSU closed to make it look better in the 2nd half)

Then the next week ND loses to Boston Colloge 41-39 on a last second FG and gets dumped to #3 in the polls behind FSU and Neb.

(yeah they should have taken care of business against BC)

But they at least should have been able to play for the NC against a team they already beat.

Alabama and LSU play each other in the regular season, probably ending one team's hopes of being in the championship. If there was a playoff system, I think there would be a really good chance of seeing these two teams meet up again.
