Workers used to only have a month to prepare for an upcoming union election. Now it's only 14 days notice before a vote on a union is held. And employers have to hand over personal employee information to unions. There should be a way to opt out if you don't want to be hounded by bullies at home and work. This is so wrong. It's not any of the unions business where people live. They should stick to putting up posters at the workplace or handing out fliers but unions should not be allowed to contact people at home or have access to their phone numbers or email addresses. This is bullshit. The government is helping unions bully people.
"Also, employees will have no say in whether their personal information is handed over to unions. For instance, an employer is now compelled to provide unions with workers' home addresses, personal telephone number and email addresses, work locations, shift schedules and job classifications within two days of an election agreement."
