What an odd premise, we are born with a great deal of internal wiring - that much is well known today - and then we grow up and hopefully mature, and grow old gracefully hopefully again, and then are old, and usually the same person - the same person after say 35-40 till we pass onto the great forever. Again hopefully mentally intact. Having existed for quite some time now, I find the piece rather off the wall.
