It always amazes me that bible thumping right wingers just can't see the forest for the trees when it comes to the whole abortion debate. They'll bleat like sheep that abortion is murder, stand in the streets with signs, carry out acts of violence against clinics, and use the courts and legislation to shove their religious beliefs down the throats of all Americans. Then along comes the subject of birth control. Something that can help prevent women from having to choose abortion (thereby reducing the need for it), and they still thump their bibles and scream about religious choice, limiting contraception choices, and defunding Planned Parenthood. The second two things could help reduce the need for abortions and unwanted children But they just can't leave their religious convictions out of it. And as soon as that kid drops, they support politicians who will take away that kids right to healthcare, nutrition options, and public education.

These people aren't "Christians". They are hypocrites.

You can get contraception anytime you desire. You simply have to pay for it. Problem solved.

So now all insurance companies can opt out of contraception control. Remember they must cover what the ACA covers.

So much for Separation of Church and State, must vote Biden.
First, Separation of church and State isn’t in the Constitution.

Second, this ruling tells govt to get out of religion. The SC ruled the govt can’t force religious organizations into going against their belief system.

You have it ass-backwards, as usual.
This is nothing new since it was ruled on during Oblama why this case is again being ruled on is a waste of time. The states can force religious institutions to comply with healthcare including contraception but not the feds.

No, once something is ruled unconstitutional, all states must abide to it.
Not if it is a state run operation then the state constitution takes over or it is a plebiscite.

No it does not. The state can have their own mandates provided it's constitutional. It's like the gay marriage argument. It doesn't matter what the states want or accept, it was ruled on by the SC that not allowing such a marriage is unconstitutional, and it doesn't matter what your state constitution says.

Birth control, in a lot of people's eyes, is the same thing as abortion and not a separate issue.

Also, they're not trying to "cram their religion" down your throat. On this issue it's the opposite, you trying to force your view on them.

Birth control PREVENTS ABORTIONS. THIS IS ABOUT CONTROL OF WOMEN'S SEXUALITY.

TIME TO END EMPLOYER FUNDED HEALTH INSURANCE.

Not that I am an Obamacare fan, but the Obama admin exempted religious groups from this before Rump.
So what prevents abortions??

you really didn't win anything.
People who don’t want to murder their own baby.
Everyone know the pill and all contraception means no abortion.
It's all theatre, so far as this SC ruling goes. Not an Obamacare fan really, but this case was just an expansion on what the previous admin did for this stuff. Just issue and EO to exempt the employer from having to have (whatever their gripe is) is in their employee HC policy. Then, insurance companies will allow employees to opt in separately, "at no cost," because a. it's cheaper for insurers to cover people than not and b. the vast maj of insurance policies already cover (whatever the religious nutters are griping about) … the small aggregate cost gets passed along to the rest of us, who don't complain because the cost of the nutters causing unwanted pregnancies or women having to birth dead babies or whatever would cost us a lot more. To say nothing about the damage to the women.

...The fact it is on contraception just goes to show the real aim of rabid pro-lifers.
"Rabid pro life" seems an odd turn of phrase. What "real aim" are you alluding to?

Limit a woman’s options for safe effective birth control, while ending abortions. It goes back to the old double standard that still exists beneath the surface. Fun sex is fine for men, but women are expected to remain chaste.

Which is barefoot and pregnant.
And in the kitchen where they belong

Is someone having trouble finding a woman who will put up with your misogynitic bullshit? Your need to control women, shows how totally insecure you are, and how easily your fragile male ego can be shattered.

You don't have an inferiority complex, you're just inferior.

It never ceases to amaze me that the Catholic Church in the USA has been so virulent on banning reproductive health care for it's female employees and students considering that in Canada, that same Catholic Church is paying employer health care taxes for their workers which fund birth control, abortion, and every reproductive health service that the Catholic Church is the USA has gone all the way to the Supreme Court to stop.

Not once ever has the Canadian Catholic Church gone to court to stop their employer tax dollars from funding reproductive health care for women.

This is total bullshit.

Don't work for the Catholic Church then.
