Opposing Authoritarian Ideological Fundamentalism.
So the kid spurns his family by selling his soul to Trump, and then Trump endorses his opponent.

Ouch!

George P Bush is an anomaly.

He has the Bush name but not the charisma that used to belong to that name in Texas

Part of the reason for that is because George W Bush was such a disappointing president to the conservative base

or as W put it once, you can fool us once but we wont be fooled again

Plus, George P is viewed as an outsider since his branch of the family comes from Florida instead of Texas

Finally, P is half Mexican with liberal views on immigration that make him very suspicious to native Texan whites

While at the same time he’s not accepted as a true Latino by native Texan hispanics either

To be honest about it his Dad Jeb was more 'Texan' than George or his father. He was actually intelligent, grew up in Houston, and got a degree from U of T in Latin American Studies without Daddy buying the school a library or needing to be shipped off to the Phillips/Andover schools, the safe spaces for the halfwit children of the Rich And Famous where graduation is guaranteed to them as well as admission to Harvard and Yale, also safe spaces for the mediocre and stupid 'legacies'. This is not to endorse either Jeb or George P., but there is no need to make up falsehoods or spread fake news; their careers and lack of patriotism speak for themselves.

Democrats can thank the alcoholic tard Ann Richards for George getting elected Governor; she decided to pander to her drunken commie drinking buddies in Austin and made George look good by comparison. She single-handedly turned Texas from yellow dog Democrats to a Red state.

She got some help from the Guerro babe and molly Ivins

all three were adopted by the national media as the future of Texas

which horrified a majority of the public in Texas

Tramp cherishes corruptness.

So do republicans:
Paxton has defended his actions as legal, and the pending charges did not stop the Republican from winning a second four-year term in the 2018 election, defeating Democrat Justin Nelson by 3.6 points after facing no challenger in the GOP primary.

who is spreading falsehoods or fake news about P?

Some people are equating him with George W. and his granddad in other stories around. Most of his career and college is here in Texas, though he grew up in Florida. He went to Rice and then UT Law School, and did a lot of work with charter schools in the DFW area. He beat a former Mayor of El Paso in his run for land commissioner, so I don't know that the latino population is all that leery of him; he got 61% of the vote in a general election. He is also a Trump supporter, and did some good work in preserving the Alamo and improving it. He isn't George or Jeb.

Paxton is probably toast at this point, too many bribes and corporate welfare scandals he can't cover up. I don't know that George P. is all that bad a s replacement; we'll have to to see who else runs. the Bush bashing is a little premature; he isn't led around by his daddy.

P gets no credit on the Alamo issue

Most Texas republicans do not want to “reimagine” the Alamo and it was a definite stumble by P with the republican base

but he did survive challenges by more conservative republican challengers for reelection to land commissioner
