Consumer Product Safety Commission cites a fatality and 38 other cases of kids and a pet injured by exercise equipment.

These Nazi morons are recommending that people NOT USE THEIR HOME TREADMILLS because a kid can get trapped under the bottom of the roller. Perhaps the Federal government should buy them from us in order to protect us from ourselves.

We should likewise refrain from using dumbbells, because if a kid rolls it off of a bench, it could hurt the kid quite badly. Jumpropes? Exercise balls? Pool tables?

Is there ANY PIECE of exercise equipment that could not be harmful to an unsupervised, adventurous kid? Is there any tool in the garage? Any appliance in the kitchen?

Pillows?

On the basis of this report, I say that that whole fucking agency ought to be abolished and all of its employees banished to San Francisco. How did a public statement like this get out without some adult in that God-forsaken agency putting a stop to it?
