1 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to cormmit harlotry with the daughters of Moab. 2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods; and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. 3 And Israel joined himself unto the Baal of Peor; and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. 4 And the LORD said unto Moses: `Take all the chiefs of
the people, and hang them up unto the LORD in face of the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel.'
- Numbers 25, "The Tanach" (JPS)

20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
- Exodus 22, KJV

12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;
13 That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
- 2 Chronicles 15, KJV

These and related passages seem to depict the god of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam would be decidely anti-Constitutional. Is a god who's against our Constitution fit for American politicians to worship? :)

Isn't any politician who swears their oath on a Bible breaking that oath? Can't "uphold the Constitution" if you're submitting to a God who wouldn't uphold it either.

There is no freedom of religion enshrined in any religion that I am aware of.

In fact you would be hard pressed to find religions upholding the right to freedom of expression.

God would certainly agree. It's the priests who have a problem with it.

Well, it is kind of hard to say on the one hand "hey, we have all the answers AND we're the only ones who do" and on the other hand "but try them all out because they might be right."

Not if Tanach, Bibles, and Qur'ans are "from God."

Judaism likes to say you can not be Jewish and still receive a share in the world to come. Yet our own Torah would seem to disagree.

Religions sell the concept of the "afterlife" as a means of convincing their adherents that there is a "reward" for enslaving themselves. And yes, all religions claim that every other religion is false and they are the "one true path" to God. Plenty of religions have come and gone. Never yet seen or heard of any that offers even a vestige of "proof" of their claims.

I could tinker together a holy text and religion with lots of proof and truth and doesn't require an unproveable God. Baffling why such obvious deception gets so popular. Wanna make a lifestyle system like a religion, why include so much obvious nonsense?

"Be good to each other."

"Care for the least among you."

"Realize that you are finite and will end one day. But leave the world better than it was when you arrived."

...Oh ya, think I see the problem. :)

They are not. Every last one was written by priests.

We say. They say they're from God and thus inerrant and true. In which case those religions using those texts would be incompatible with our Constitution.

No religion is compatible with our Constitution, but the question the thread raised was about God, not about religion.
