ESPN - With Tigers 104th in offense, Franklin fired - College Football
Auburn fires Tony Franklin. One of the fathers of the spread offense. Then Tuberville makes this statement:
Maybe an Auburn fan can explain this to me. If you lke the offense and think it is a good system and plan to keep using it, then why the fuck do fire the guy who created it? The spread has never worked anywhere in less than two years. Florida, Illinois, Texas Tech, and West Virginia didn't recieve success with this system until either the second or third year after its installation. This was a dumb move, but it sure does help my Tide.
ROLL TIDE!!

Tuberville told The Associated Press that Franklin's dismissal is "not going to change our philosophy. This is a good offense. Our guys like it. They understand it. They're getting better at it."
