I think you are making a typical mistake normal people make....you think that leftists and democrats want the same thing you want......cheap, reliable energy.

They don't.

The Perfect isn't the enemy of the good here.......the good is the enemy of the good.

The left and democrats don't want cheap, reliable, plentiful energy.....they think people are the problem...there are too many people, and they are destroying the planet....more, cheap, reliable energy would simply allow there to be more people...so when the democrats do things that seem fucking insane....like pushing energy that doesn't work, isn't cheap, and isn't reliable....that is the plan...less energy means less growth, economic as well as population...

Once you understand where they are coming from, what they do makes a lot more sense...

The pipeline is not on line yet. The Germans have to certify it, which should be completed by the end of the year.

PG&E owns more than 100,000 miles of transmission lines, which it regularly inspects and maintains by cutting and trimming trees. With the planned clear cut width of 30 feet, the path of destruction could be considerable.

The Russians have started filling the now completed NordStream2 pipeline with Natural Gas desperately needed in Western Europe, where winter approaches, gas prices have skyrocketed and there are serious shortages projected. Delivery of significant supplies have been delayed by U.S. sanctions, but Germany’s Conservative leadership under Merkel held the line against U.S. pressure. Significant new supplies of Russian gas will probably not arrive in Germany until mid-Winter as European regulators must still give a final OK.

It's funny now to read the forecasts of economic experts two or three years ago, that gas and oil will be bought less and less and their prices will become completely ridiculous. And with such intelligent faces, they all said this. As a result, the world lacks not only oil and gas, but even coal...
