Pelosi: No surprise Loser identified by 50 percent

Palin: 49% thought she was a loser in 2009

Republicans in Congress: 52% thought they were losers

"Liar" Joe Wilson: 61% thought he was a loser

The Winners of 2009?

Michelle Obama: 73 % thought she was a winner

Hillary: 72% winner

President Obama: 58% thought he was a winner

Republicans: only 38% thought they were winners

well for Pelosi and Wilson it really doesn't matter how they do in national polls - their constitutients are the only ones who have a real say.

But those results are interesting. Hillary Clinton has been a very behind-the-scenes kind of SoS. It just goes to show, the longer you can stay OUT of the limelight, the more popular you can become.

How could the GOP members of Congress be losers when they have no power?

What part of NO don't you understand?

What part of simple logic do you not understand? The GOP members of Congress have NO POWER! That means it doesn't matter what they say or do, they have NO POWER! If you're not in the game, how can you lose?

Cool! So, you are saying they are good for nothing at this point. Can we take them off the payroll now?

And why do they have little power?
Because they supported Bush?

they earned their current status.

They didn't just support Bush, they supported "FAIL". You can't support "FAIL" and win. "FAIL" is not something the American people want to support. Other than Republicans I mean.

I wish. The Democrats have absolute control of our government now. If you can find a way to take them off the payroll, more power to you.

Do you think no party has ever been out of power before? How much did they accomplish by trying to obstruct every piece of legislation? We faced an impending economic meltdown early in 2009 and rather than say "How can we help?" the GOP chose to say "How can we prevent you from succeeding?"

Can you say "John Ensign"? How about "Mark Sanford"? "Joe Wilson"?

:cuckoo:

Get this through your thick skull: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THEY SAY OR DO. THEY HAVE NO POWER!

Jeez.

Precisely, but the advantage that Bush gave the Dems though his incompetence is running out. The Dems need to find another way to maintain their advantage, and I don't see it. Their only hope is Cheney will rear his ugly head again and start talking or even run for political office again...before he dies.

Other parties have been out of power in the past and managed to influence legislation. The GOP chose to use block voting to gridlock legislation and prevent critical bills from succeeding. The decision to be obstructionist will haunt the GOP
