Will the United States again respect Science?

How many trillions of dollars do we need to invest in windmills to prevent this?
Wow, you really need some new material.

Why should I change a winning formula?
Ah yes, the troll declaration of victory. Also tired.
Last week you were upset over Trumps spending. This week two trillion is trolling. You need to find a solid piece of ground to stand on.

IPCC is not a court.
For science? Indeed it is. As is peer review. Again, you are definitely going to need someone to help you who understands science. Even a 7th grader would be better than nobody.

A court is a court, seems like you have trouble with language.

It's a circle jerk. Come back when you have argued it in front of a judge with two competing parties.

Seems you have trouble discerning lawsuits from science. But you are a Trump cultist. You understand nothing until Great Leader describes it. And he understands nothing, so....

Yep.

It would have been a different story if we had reelected this buffoon. But we woke up and corrected our fuckup immediately.

And that applies to several different issues. We will recover from this much faster, since it only lasted four years. The stain has only had so much time to set in.

Of course we will recover. How could we not with a guy that wants to increase taxes on our job creators, a guy who is going to increase the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour causing inflation, job losses, more companies moving overseas, outsourcing, or investments in automation to replace us humans, and less new job startups, a guy who's going to increase our capital gains taxes so our market slows down where many of us have our IRA's in, a guy who wants to shutdown fracking not only doubling or more our price of fuel, but shutting down our exports since you can't export green energy, a guy who wants to move lowlifes into now safe and beautiful suburbs which will close down stores, drastically reduce property values, turning now safe and good schools into zoos?

I mean......what can go wrong with Biden in charge?

You will never admit it here two years from now, but you'll be longing for the days when President Trump was in charge.

Do yourself a favor and go read a good book.
The IPCC is the same as any other International Organization...It's there to provide a paycheck and benefits to a bunch of credentialed individuals who have bills to pay and who will nod their heads forever to be paid.

Climate change, and mankind's significant contribution to it, has been understood by the scientific community since the 1950s.

Oh hell no ... AGW Theory was first proposed in the late 19th Century ... CO2 from burning coal raising global temperatures has been known since we started keeping accurate weather records ... the data we were collecting didn't fit so the notion was passed on ... we had other worries at the time ...

The data still doesn't fit ... the runaway greenhouse effect is largely dismissed in the scientific literature ... there's on-going research into whether we've reached thermal saturation with atmospheric CO2 ... perhaps whatever effect carbon dioxide has on the climate is already in place, no more will occur ... the inverse of exponential growth ...

All the claims of catastrophe violate one or more of the laws of physics ... every ... single ... one ... "hypercanes and hockey sticks" ... just nuts-oh-fruit-cake ... in all history, and assumable pre-history, folks have been crying "the world is going to end", "the world is going to end", "the world is going to end" ... to date only one has been right ... so a vanishingly small probability any of you goofs are right ...

As with other disciplines, Americans have been subjected to a contempt for the science of climatology that has festered in the highest echelons of government recently.

The stark disparity between reality and crackpot notions has dire ramifications, and no, ingesting disinfectants will not protect you from the ravages of unchecked fossil fuel consumption.
Climate change is making people sick and leading to premature death, according to a pair of influential reports on the connections between global warming and health.

Scientists from the World Meteorological Organization released a preliminary report on the global climate which shows that the last decade was the warmest on record and that millions of people were affected by wildfires, floods and extreme heat this year on top of the global pandemic.

Separately, a sprawling analysis published Wednesday by the medical research journal The Lancet focuses on public health data from 2019, and finds that heat waves, air pollution and extreme weather increasingly damage human health. It is the most comprehensive annual report yet on the nexus of climate and health, and is routinely cited by climate policymakers. The authors include dozens of physicians and public health experts from around the world.

Both reports make an explicit connection between death, disease and burning fossil fuels.

This foolishness has not only been an embarrassment for the United States that has surrendered leadership in the global crisis. It is a perverse refutation that will have severe economic impact, provoke mass migrations, and destroy quality of life for humans as well as other species.

Will the nation step up to face this enormous challenge that is already wreaking havoc?
The RWNJs' belief in science changed little to none during the impeached president trump's regime. Those fools only believe a learned expert when his (or her) opinion advances the RWNJs' agenda, which is a rarity.

Climate change, and mankind's significant contribution to it, has been understood by the scientific community since the 1950s. The fossil fuel industry has known this for the same period of time. But, Big Oil also knew they could rely on the stupidity (not ignorance) of the right-wingers to fight against science to protect their supply of gasoline, natural gas, stove oil, coal, or which ever other heating fuel and engine fuel in their region was preferred.

Who have been the beneficiaries of this decades-long opposition to scientific knowledge by the right-wingers? Big Oil, of course.

Anytime the RWNJs pool their stupidity, Corporate America makes a killing.

Darn all of us Chicago right-wingers for not wanting to freeze to death in winter........

Who have been the beneficiaries of this decades-long opposition to scientific knowledge by the right-wingers?

Everyone who uses energy on a regular basis.
Everyone who enjoys our first world economy.
Everyone who doesn't want to spend hours each day collecting firewood for cooking and heating.

Anyone who thinks climate projections are anything approaching accurate is an idiot. Literally just daily projections layered on top of one another with other random variables

And even if the climate did become a problem, the solution would be some sort of geo engineering like creating clouds or putting something in the atmosphere to cool or heat the climate. Not play with emissions when we are a very small % of the planet and the rest of it is going to get closer to our emission levels every year

Notice how you don't see "climate scientists" out there making the case/ It's Bill Nye (an engineer) or Tyson ( a physicist or some other non related discipline i forget)

The reality is those projections have no real accuracy and it would be insane to spend anything based on them at this time.

Give me the evidence.
And in front of a judge, I don't bother with "evidence" that can't even win a trial.
IPCC is not a court.
This does not come close to even passing as evidence.
A court is a court, seems like you have trouble with language.

I've spend an embarrassing amount of time in a courtroom ... [sigh] ... you're not getting in the door without stating which written law you're contesting ... explicitly, on the Complaint, or you won't get docketed ...

You mean allowing grown men into the Ladies room "Science"?

You mean allowing men to compete in women's sports "Science"?

You mean Ice Free Arctic by 2005 "science"?

You mean wear your mask to stop a virus "science"?
