As a result of the violence in Charlottesville, Va numerous high-profile businesses have made headlines for their sudden opposition to and actions taken against White Supremacist Hate Groups.

Google, Apple, GoDaddy, FaceBook, AirBNB, Uber, and more (even the group Anonymous) have taken steps against White Supremacist groups, refusing service, dumping their sites, etc..

WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG?

The vast majority of Americans oppose Hate Groups, especially the White Supremacist groups such as the KKK and Neo-Nazis. Their message of hate has never been acceptable...but obviously their currency of Green has been.

As long as the KKK, Neo-Nazis, skin-heads, etc kept a low profile, their heads down, and their noses clean their money and their business has been welcome. Those groups - those people - are the same today as they were last week before these companies decided they were persona non grata.

It's not that the companies suddenly had an epiphany as a result of what happened in Charlottesville, Va and woke up to who these people are and what they were all about. Their opposition to these groups NOW and their decisions being made NOW is based on FEAR more than repulsion. As businesses they FEAR backlash from consumers who might find out they cater to white supremacist groups. They fear the damage that could be done to their reputations, businesses, and bottom lines.

So, is it ok to cater to/ do business with hate groups as long as no one knows?

Has your attitude changed towards any of these companies now that they have decided to dump white supremacists, even though last week they were perfectly fine doing business with them?

Exactly wrong. Sympathy for the far-left is an elite preoccupation. The people are not PC fanatics.

And what of all the violence and intolerance from leftists? Should leftists be opposed? Should leftist sites be dumped?
