Scarborough revealed that he was “obsessed” with a graphic that compared economic growth under Trump to that under Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter at the same time in their administration.
Joe Scarborough: Trump Economy Worse than Jimmy Carter's

FACTS that the IDIOT, BIASED Scarborough et.al... seem to IGNORE!

I lived through Carter and in fact VOTED for Carter as I thought the man was very smart.
But Carter had the highest and worst Misery Index all time because most people like me thought Carter was the answer! WRONG!
US Misery Index

The misery index was initiated by economist Arthur Okun, an adviser to President Lyndon Johnson in the 1960's. It is simply the unemployment rate added to the inflation rate.

The Highest 6/1980 21.98%
Under Carter!
unemployment rate: 7.6% + inflation: 14.4% Total 21.98% Misery Index
Trump Misery Index: 5.3% over 75% less than under Carter.
June 2019 Misery Index..
.unemployment rate: 3.7% + inflation: 1.6% Total Misery Index: 5.3%
US Inflation Rate | US Inflation

Finally evidently Scarborough really flunked arithmetic in grade school!
What was GDP under Carter in 1980? $2,857,000,000,000
GDP under Clinton in 1996? $8,073,000,000,000. Increase in 16 years or 64% increase over Carter.
GDP under Trump in 2019? $21,429,000,000,000 Increase in 23 years? 86% increase over Clinton.

What percent of Carter's GDP is 3.16% of $2.857 Trillion? $90.692 Billion.. increase according to below.
Percent of Trump's GDP is 2.3% of $21.429 Trillion? $492.867 Billion! Nearly 82% more than Carter.
In other words for Scarborough limited math... 2.3% of $21 trillion GDP is nearly 82% larger than Carter's
3.16% of $2.857 Trillion GDP.
In other words using the GDP figure without considering the beginning SIZE of the GDP is really biased
AND Scarborough's "obsession" is truly uninformed!
