Heroin addicts the world over are praying that the Taliban doesn't take back Afghanistan.

The Taliban deals in the heroin trade now so nothing much will change even if they do, exports might actually go up without US Troops on the ground.

Afghanistan is mired in Tribalism. That's not going to change until the Afghans change it. Staying just excaserbates that situation.

The crazy thing is Afghanistan was a totally different country in the 60s and 70s, it was actually pretty secular. Everything went to shit when the Soviets invaded and the civil war that happened when they left.
