"Kevin Strickland, a man who was wrongfully convicted in a 1978 triple murder, was not pardoned by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson. Strickland has spent the last 43 years in prison and Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney Jean Peters Baker recently called for his conviction to be overturned.

However, Strickland has faced some setbacks. On Tuesday, the Missouri Supreme Court declined to hear Strickland's attempt to exonerate himself. On Thursday, Parson released a list with 36 people who were pardoned by him over Memorial Day weekend, and Strickland wasn't on it."

Basically this guy killed 3 people and was thrown in prison where he belongs....and now because of all of this cancel culture woke mob critical race theory cultural marxism crap; they are trying to free this guy??

Gimme a break...

Yea, he had an alibi....yea there was no physical evidence implicating him....yea, the only evidence against him was an eyewitness who later recanted and said she was forced by the police to identify Strickland...yea the 2 people who were convicted of the actually murdering the victims; said Strickland was in no way involved....and yea, even those 2 men are now out of prison while Strickland is still behind bars...

And.....yea even the prosecutors admit a major mistake was made and his conviction should be overturned; stating "He didn’t commit the murder and we are disappointed. But we are pursuing all avenues of exoneration for Mr. Strickland."-- none of that means this guy isn't guilty tho....just look at him....

Mr. Strickland's attorneys just haven't made the case proving their client's innocence yet, at least not enough to convince the Tremendous Governor of Missouri.

The ironic part is that if he admitted his involvement in the crime and showed remorse, he would stand a better chance of showing he is no longer a danger to society and getting out.

I don't know the exact nature of the hurdles keeping him from being freed, but it certainly sounds as though the evidence is pretty strongly showing his innocence.

Yeah, he should admit he did not commit the murder...

He is innocent......why should he have to "show remorse" for something he didn't do?

Yea, if the prosecutors are flat out saying he didn't do it -- it's probably pretty clear he is innocent....prosecutors hate admitting they convicted an innocent man....

However, the Supreme Court of Missouri refused to take the case and didn't really give a reason as to why...

I haven't heard an explanation in this case, but some states that have had to deal with these situations in the past had to change laws or court rules first in the past because the courts basically often have no jurisdiction to rehear a settled case. These rules were built up over time to stop the flood of cases they could face without them. Seems to me I read a case of Tennessee maybe in which the innocent person had to be charged with another crime they didn't commit and then enter a guilty plea to it before the Court had the jurisdiction to toss out the murder conviction. It is weird to me but the lawyers like their rules, especially the lawyers who wear black robes.

You say he's innocent, but 12 angry men determined otherwise.

And he hasn't proven the jury is wrong.
