I saw this video on a friend's FB page. I think it is a very good explanation of what some people call reverse racism. I especially like the scale and the way it talks about evening the playing field

Judging ANY individual on the basis of your feelings of his race, creed, or color is JUST WRONG. Don't try using History to rationalise your hatred.

There is no such thing as "reverse racism".

Racism is racism.

rac·ism
ˈrāˌsizəm/
noun
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
"a program to combat racism"
synonyms: racial discrimination, racialism, racial prejudice, xenophobia, chauvinism, bigotry, casteism
"Aborigines are the main victims of racism in Australia"
the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
noun: racism

ANYONE can be racist.

As Chris Rock once said, the most racist person on the planet is an Old black man, you just don't notice it because he is so used to hiding it.

What hatred? Of whom? I saw nothing about hatred in there.

Chris Rock is a comedian.....I base none of my personal beliefs on anything he says to get a laugh.

I have seen so many definitions of racism. Older ones say it is discrimination and segregation. Newer ones define it as a more individual belief. I still believe racism is institutional and that prejudice is personal.

90% of institutional racism over the past 50 years has been Affirmative Action discrimination against whites

This still exists in 42 states where this abomination still exists.

My Black ex-wife's grandmother would not speak directly to me and for the most part acted like I didn't exist. While married we got as much disapproval from black people as we did from white. That is racism.

That's just plain stupid. Affirmative Action couldn't exist without the approval of Whites But the fallacy of " "racism" associated with AA doesn't end there. White women benefitted from it too. That fact completely annihilates your inane claim of Affirmative Action being racist against Whites.

What do you call a person who thinks another race is superior to his own? Is he/she a racist? Does it work both ways?.
Consider this.To be a racist one has to believe in race. I don't. Oh, i know the word is in the dictionary and has been infused into the American lexicon. But it is a false social construct having no scientific basis.
That's not my personal opinion alone. Noted physical anthropologists such as
Ashley Montagu have greatly influenced my views on race .

So where did all this predjudice and bigotry begin based on skin color?
Tribalism may be a root factor. Men who look like brothers have fought and killed each other over
opposing ideologies or trivial differences before the dawn of history. Hate and predjudice came out of that as tribes who looked alike became enemies. The abstract concept of race did not exist then but hate and bigotry did.

The conquest of warriors gave birth to feelings of superiority over the conquered giving rise to the need for victors to set themselves apart from the vanquished.
.

Slavery should be considered in the context of conquest by one people over another. Racism was a powerful construct to facilitate that peculiar institution based on physiognomy. Then one could bask in the " inferiority" of "lower"races .That is institutional racism. American Blacks never had that dubious privilege as a group to conquer, demonize and subject Whites to their collective wills. Therefore Blacks are powerless to be racist in this country because they have no
basis to make that critical nexus between the conquering warrior and superiority over the conquered.

One can use comedy to make a point, as long as you recognize the source and take it with a grain of salt.

There is no reverse racism. It's always just racism.
Race doesn't exist either but Americans have become obsessed with the concept. Reverse racism is an even sillier notion because the expression was coined to identify the phenomenon associated with affirmative action, supposedly against whites. White women who use affirmative action are completely ignored by that definition.

But the best comedy always has a ring of truth to it.

But all too often, individual racism could be misconstrued. Some people just don't like you regardless what color you are.
