We constantly hear from politicians about "abused women and girls" implying that only women are victims, and that only men are perpetrators. The national media covers domestic violence, but only if women are victims. Is there any reason why the media and politicians ignore other forms of domestic violence esp if they occur at higher rates?

Prosecutors: Clifton Hooker killed his boyfriend, Alphonzo Guinyard, during argument over their relationship

Doesn't fit the narrative they're trying to sell to America.

They claim they care, then ignore this if it doesn't suit their narrative. Then call other people bigots.

The plural of anecdote isn't data, but I worked with a dyke who kept coming to work with bruises and eventually came to work with a tale of her "wife" getting arrested for domestic violence and the prosecutor dropped the case because he'd never be able to sell it to a jury.

Yep, that is anecdotal. Who else among the straights at your work have had domestic violence issues? We never had one from our LGBT employees but three from straight employees.

Any legitimate indication that LGBT people are more inclined than the general public to do that type thing?

Well if that woman had received counseling to get to the bottom of why she was attracted to a mannish woman who beat her (closeted hetero issues), she might not have wound up in that situation. But since the APA was taken over by the LGBT cult, those counseling sessions are probably a one-way ticket to having your license to practice psychological therapy revoked. So the lipstick lesbians will still "inexplicably" be attracted to men...er..I mean women who dress, talk and act like men...and they will keep being unaware of the root of their problems for life.

Thanks "objective" APA!

The OP doesn't actually care about domestic violence, he just wants to whine about gay people.

Why does the MSM ignore LGBT domestic violence?

It doesn't, there just isn't that much of it.
2% of the population, divided by 25%, is ? Oh right, .05%
It's the per capita issue. There is more domestic violence per capita in gays vs straights. And this might be a tip as to why (unresolved mental issues endemic in the population of gays):

ATLANTA [2005 Clinical Psychiatry News] -- Substance abuse is pervasive among gay men and is so intricately intertwined with epidemics of depression, partner abuse, and childhood sexual abuse that adequately addressing one issue requires attention to the others as well, said Ronald Stall, Ph.D., chief of prevention research for the division of HIV/AIDS prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta...

The CDC doesn't use the word "epidemic" lightly...

Really? are you going to retract this statement?

There may be, but they are a very small segment of the population. Jews may have higher rates for all I know, I haven't looked, but they make up 1.4% of the population (i looked) so that's unlikely to be the headline. It's hard to be gay, even here eh?

Liberals ignore gay domestic violence for the same reason they ignore black on black crime. It takes away from the, "it's the white man's fault".

Domestic violence is a national issue among straight, homosexuals, and bi-sexual Americans, yes.

And the article noted, "But thanks to the combination of reports like these and, more important, as Leventhal notes, the Obama administration being active on LGBT issues, there has been increased funding at the community level for services to address LGBT concerns. Additionally, the Office on Violence Against Women, and the Family Violence Prevention and Services program have issued guidelines on how to specifically address LGBT issues and are required to make these services queer- and trans-embracing."
