Why do the Japanese want the American military bases closed in Japan?

I hired a woman named Linda Kuo who I suspect went back to Taiwan to live since she and her husband came from there, and she told me she is not Chinese, that she is Taiwanese and told me the story you told above. She said Taiwan has never been part of China. She explained the actual natives and may have called them Ryukyuans which I do not recall that part.
LOL, Taiwan was called Formosa for a while. I try not to get too involved in their internal politics in Asia. Formosa was actually officially ceded to Japan by the Chinese in 1895 as a result of first Sino-Japanese war. Treaty of Shimonoseki

Taiwanese culture has been strongly influenced by Japan, and Japan is still very popular there.

Linda Kuo also told me that and shocked me. She said they were treated kindly by the Japanese and the Chinese want to wage war on them.

The people is Okinawa are not ethnically Japanese as Okinawa was an independent country until the 18th century.
It should, therefore, be easy for you to understand why the Japanese, the Iranians, the Cubans, and the Europeans don't want Americans in their countries. :45:

A poll showed that 77% of Japanese adults love Trump's America, while only 13% of them feel that way about China. There is a good reason for that.

It is now widely known that China has been focusing its attention on Okinawa, generating narratives about the island and its status. Among these narratives are the “Ryukyu Undetermined Status Theory.” Beijing has floated the theory that the San Francisco Peace Treaty is invalid, arguing that although Taiwan is part of China according to the Cairo Declaration and the Potsdam Declaration, Okinawa’s status is unclear. This has likely developed as a counter to recent discussions in the West, as well as in Taiwan, which assert that in fact Taiwan’s status is undetermined, and that Okinawa is a part of Japan.

In China’s online space, talk about the status of the Ryukyu Islands abounds, with most claiming that Japan “annexed” and “assimilated” the Ryukyu Islands by force, and that the Ryukyu Islands were originally either independent or a part of China (or even part of Taiwan, as quite a few insist). Many of these commentaries are written by those who have actually travelled to Okinawa, and are presented as impressions from the ground, giving them a measure of credibility. However, the accompanying photos are often unrelated to Okinawa.

Yes, there is a good reason for that. It's called Western propaganda. It's the same reason Americans believed there were WMDs in Irak. It's the same reason Americans thought Fidel Castro was a Communist. It's the same reason Americans believed the USSR wanted to place missiles on Cuba without provocation. It's the same reason Americans believed Vietnam was being coerced by Communism. It's the same reason Americans believed that Communism was going to take over the world. It's the same reason that Americans believe the US was bringing Democracy to Irak. Do you want me to tell you more? I can tell you a lot more if you want. :45:
