Why Do Liberal/Progressives Seek To Impose Their Views On Others?

The usual complaint from libs about conservatives is that they seek to impose their views. Like everything else this is true, but only about libs. Consider gay marriage. Many states voted to amend their constitutions or enact other legislation that defined marriage as one man one woman. Libs werent successful making their case to the public (it was a loser issue at the pols) so they whined to some activist judges, who imposed gay marriage over the will of the people.
Or consider the Oregon bakers, whose business has been destroyed by lesbians offended that they wouldnt bake their wedding cake. And the bakers arent bigots, as often assumed. The lesbians picked the place because they were frequent customers there.
Or look at the demonization of smoking and smokers, who are considered one step above child molester in the media.
Or Common Core, which seeks to impose a national standard on what has traditionally been a local issue.
Or, but you get the point here.
Progs cant help themselves from wanting to make America look like their vision, where everyone practices safe sex and recylces to prevent global warming.
This isnt a free society. This is fascism in action.

Deep down they are fascist and feel their views are the only views that is acceptable.

so if they can't sweet talk you into bowing to them.... they'll just berate you and beat you down.

the most intolerant people I have come across.

We all do it... Liberals and Conservatives, and Centrists and Independents alike.

What distinguishes Liberals from the rest, I think, is their obnoxious insistence upon getting their own way by any means and at any cost.

And there are even exceptions in that category - there are, indeed, examples of such disingenuous and overbearing behaviors on the part of the others, as well.

It's just that Liberals / Progressives seem to do it sooooo much more frequently than the others, that Lib-Progs end-up 'eating' (suffering) the attaching of the stereotype to them, and end-up 'owning' it - fairly or unfairly - rightly or wrongly.

The most disgusting aspect of this, for me, is the seeming insistence of Lib-Progs that they pretend to know what is good for you, soooo much better than you do yourself.

It's the mindset which says that not only are there some things that the government does better than the individual, but that most things are better done by the government than by the individual - and that they know better than you, which things those are.

Not to mention their willingness-in-a-heartbeat to empty your wallet on behalf of The Beehive Collective, insofar as they can get away with it, by any means, fair or foul.

Most LIb-Progs probably start-out meaning well, and a great many in their ranks are young, and inexperienced, and naive and gullible, and are absolutely certain that they have all the answers...

These younglings have all the energy and fervor and zeal of the New Religious Convert, having found a Substitute God to worship, and a wide-ranging Congregation in which to reside, and they work very hard to advance their 'faith' and to zealously advocate for their 'substitute godhead'; 'missionary work' - secular style - for many younglings.

Lib-Prog ranks also include old-timers and minorities who oftentimes seem not to have done well in life, and who band-together and submit to The Beehive Collective, seeking safety in numbers, rather like a school fish.

Lib-Prog ranks also seem to include a few here and there who have done well in life, and who enjoy the White Man's Guilt or Rich Man's Duty to Humanity, and who lend some additional weight to an oftentimes otherwise lightweight collection of juicy rationalizations and erzatz justifications for their Beehive Collective Mindset.

Because a great many of them believe that they are the one-and-only answer, and that they, above all others, fight for justice and peace and the betterment of Mankind - they oftentimes and nearly unconsciously slip into a "The End Justifies the Means" framework in their dealings with others who do not think like them...

Lib-Progs - once they slip into End-Justifies-the-Means mode - then seem to slowly but surely slip into the role of the Socialist Revolutionary - most recently represented in the 20th by the Communists in various parts of the world.

Of course, we all know how that Grand Experiment turned out.

All the rest of us can do is to take the best of what they offer and incorporate that into a saner overall governance and society, while rejecting the more impractical or idiotic or touchy-feely crap they dream-up, and bitch-slap them back to Reality when they get lose control and become dangerous or - more frequently - just a genuine pain in the ass.

Oh, Rabbid, the thing is, we have a constitution that gives rights to individuals. If a majority of a state voted to confiscate your guns, you'd be pointing at the Second Amendment and saying, "See, see...this give me a right to my gun">

"Really, are you in a well-regulated militia?"

Or consider the Oregon bakers, whose business has been destroyed by lesbians offended that they wouldnt bake their wedding cake. And the bakers arent bigots, as often assumed. The lesbians picked the place because they were frequent customers there.

Isn't an argument there. Public Accommodation Laws say they have to serve any customers who have the money for services they offer. This has been black letter law for 50 years.

Or look at the demonization of smoking and smokers, who are considered one step above child molester in the media.

Why is this a partisan issue? Most conservatives don't want to try to eat their dinner in a room full of cigarette smoke, either. You do realize that smoking is bad for you, right? Now, I think a lot of the science on second hand smoke is dubious. But most folks have no problem with smoke-free workplaces. Maybe you need to talk to your big corporations, they were for it before the government was.

Or Common Core, which seeks to impose a national standard on what has traditionally been a local issue.

and why is this a bad thing? Are you saying that a HS Diploma from Florida should be worth less than one from Illinois? The USA drags behind every other industrialized nation in math and science. All those countries have national standards.

They don't promote safe sex among blacks, in fact, they encourage unsafe sex with AFDC.

See, you push values on people against their will. You are a fascist.

As a liberal, I can say with certainty, none of that is true.

Now, here's what you should have said...

Progressives, that is, those who want the US to progress toward Socialism/Communism/Fascism have a genuine, deep rooted, genetic level hatred of humanity. They think people are helpless and stupid or should be rendered defenseless and helpless. Only then can we truly reap the benefits of the all knowing, benevolent Central government leader.

I agree we all do it. I did it last night at work and still after all these years I still forget people are not as talented as me fixing a machine problem, are goals and wants are not all the same.

most liberals see work as just a paycheck and just look at the clock to when they get to go home

Most cons see their jobs as a passion and don't want to go home

The above just and example

The difference with the guns Joe, one you obviously don't understand, is that there are written words in the Constitution that say I have a right to own guns but nothing related to a right to marriage.

Now, here's what you should have said...

Another lying Liberal piece of shit.

Do you support social welfare programs? Do you support Obamacare? Do you support the free community college tuition proposal by Obama? Do you support any big government program that gives the federal government authority to do things for which the Constitution gives no specific delegated authority?

Cause we want to live in a fair and free society.

Progs eat, breath and sleep CONTROL. They HATE anyone who DARE disagree with them.

Here's the basic difference between a prog and a conservative...

... on the topic of the second amendment and the right to own a gun...

... the conservative says, "hey, if you don't want to own a gun, don't own one."

... the prog says, "I don't like guns, so I don't want ANYBODY to be able to own one."

And there you have it, the BASIC, CORE DIFFERENCE between progs and conservatives.

Conservatives want the freedom for people to make their own choices and keep the government out of it, and the progs want to impose their agenda on everyone by the government forcing them whether they like it or not.

We see all it all day, every day.
