Zone1 Why Do Leftists Ignore the 10/7 Hamas Attack on Israel?

On October 7th, 2023, Hamas launched a massive ground assault on Israeli military installations and civilian neighborhoods.
367+ IDF soldiers were killed. 828+ Israeli civilians were murdered by the Palestinians in cold blood with small arms and arson. The assault was so large that it could be easily seen from space. 251 Israelis were captured and taken into captivity with many to be later murdered, starved, and/or sexually assaulted.

Why does the Left ignore this, and only complain about the IDF counter-attacks in Gaza?

By comparison, the Pearl Harbor attack left 2335 US servicemembers and 68 US civilians killed.
The US went on to firebomb Japanese cities and dropped two nuclear weapons on Japan in retaliation.
The US also bombed German and Italian cities, and they never attacked the US mainland in any serious way.

Imagine if, the 10/7 attack was launched on Manhattan. What would the United States' reaction have been?

I had no idea we were ignoring that!

You gotta tell me this shit ahead of time, kid.

I can't just read your (alleged) mind!

Why don't you provide some links to places where Republicans are talking about it.

We give our opinion on everything, whether it hits close to home or not.
Why would you have an opinion on something that doesn’t affect you? You must have a lot more free time and energy than I do because I don’t even consider things that don’t directly affect me.

Pearl Harbor couldn't be seen from space because there we no satellites then making it less of a big deal.

It could be seen from the ground.

Why do non-Jews/Israelis in the United Ststes give a shit about 10/7? It didn’t happen in America to Americans, so why would I give a crap about it?

Why give a crap about the IDF's operations in Gaza then?

i do have a lot of free time. And it does not take a lot of energy for me to form an opinion.

I am very opinionated.

Maybe when I am even older, it will be too much bother.

Until then, I have opinions, and will share them with people, whether they want to hear it or not.

Because like 9/11, the Middle East is where all the shit started. If we don't have a civilized, democratic ally there who's willing to keep them in check, radical Islamic terrorists will continue attacking the US. They hate use as much as they hate Israel.

It's the systematic sexual assault of female children that really triggered the wipe-'em-off-the-map mindset. They guys don't even fight like men.

Imagine, Islamist Palestinians gang-raping American women in a 10/7 sized attack. Gaza would be a glass parking lot.

Why do YOU ignore that more than 72,000 Palestinians who were murdered and 171,000 who were injured in retaliation for these Israeli deaths????

Two wrongs don't make a right.

I don’t. Their problem, not mine.

Well, some of us have shot to do with our lives so we don’t have the time or energy to waste sitting around and being philosophical. Whatever opinions I need I got from my family while growing up.

Then maybe we need to get out of these other places and focus on ensuring complete isolation for our own country and proper national defense. Then we don’t have to worry about anyone or anywhere else.

Don't you know -- Jews are the only people in the world who must not be allowed to even object to this much less do anything about it.

......and the filth that supports these vile acts scream and cry when they are called antisemites.

My dad was too trusting imo.

Nice guy. But he trusted the dems. Cause of shit that happened in the Great Depression.

That was a long time ago.

Isolationism would not protect the US from terrorist attacks because modern terrorism is transnational, decentralized, and borderless. Retreating from global affairs would not eliminate the threat due to the following critical vulnerabilities: Many modern attacks are carried out by domestic extremists or radicalized individuals already inside the country. These actors often do not require direct foreign direction or infiltration; they are inspired by ideologies disseminated globally via the internet.

Terrorist networks and state sponsors can project power, disrupt critical infrastructure, and incite violence globally without ever crossing a physical border. Abandoning international alliances and intelligence sharing would forfeit the ability to disrupt terror plots at their source. Failing to monitor and address instability abroad allows safe havens for groups to organize, train, and fund operations targeted at the US.

A purely isolationist stance also disrupts vital partnerships and intelligence-sharing networks with international allies, which are the primary defense for identifying and intercepting transnational threats before they materialize on US soil.
