Why do hussars need wings

If the wings had real aerodynamics, then they served for acceleration. It was easier for the horse to gain speed for the ram if the rider's wings were raised
It's my opinion

If you're talking about Polish Hussars from the 16th Century, their wings were for decoration only. They were intended to make the hussars look more fierce.

They weren't actually wings anyway, they were arched wooden frames with various feathers attached to them,

In any case, wings don't provide acceleration, they provide lift and drag. At horse speeds, mostly only drag.

D = .5 * Cd * r * V^2 * A

This is one of the versions, but it is not realistic.

Dividing the hussars into different categories is a political fraud. Their clothes are Hungarian, but in general it is one of the peoples that descended from the Khazars(hence the name) and was throughout Eastern Europe.

Tell that to the aircraft designers, they are still in their illusions.

lift and drag
This is the meaning of acceleration. The horse unloaded and accelerated stronger. They were in heavy armor, and it was difficult for the horses to carry them.

It really, really isn't...

You don't know the first thing about physics (or chemistry based on your other posts).

Stop pretending that you do.
