Why Did Trump Take The Presidential Documents When He Left Office?

Why Did Trump Take The Presidential Documents When He Left Office?
Why didn't Trump return the documents to NARA when they asked for them in Feb. 2021?
And if he declassed documents, why didn't he stamp them declassified?
None of this makes any sense.
Having Top Secret Documents and Top Secret - Compartmentalize documents in your home is dangerous. This is the kind of stuff people kill to get.
Lastly, why would Trump destroy some of these documents and leave the pieces of them in boxes to be found?

And why Barack Ovomit illegally took 30 million pages of documents to Chicago when he left???
Why did Hillary take TS/SCI material? Why did she tell her staff to strip markings off of classified documents and send them via unclass systems? Why did she illegally destroy classified systems with hammers? At least Trump did not do these things.

That certain sounds plausible when you consider what was going on in the days and weeks before the Biden inauguration. After Jan 6, Trump staff members were resigning, failing to show up at work. Trump was telling his people we going no where and the NARA was going around trying to find all the documents. The place had to be mad house.

However, it that was case, then why didn't Trump give this stuff to the NARA in Feb 2021 when they asked for it. He could have told them that we got some of wrong boxes and that would have been the end of it.

I think the problem came about because Trump ignored the requests from the NARA and when they ship boxes and told that's all it, the NARA knew that was not correct. Then they discovered that Trump still had classified documents. That is when the NARA turned the problem over to DOJ.

He didn't hand them over when he was subpoenaed because he was waiting for the right moment to hand them over to Putin first.

Links have been posted. Waste your time, not mine.
The National Archives and Records Administration issued a statement Friday in an attempt to counter misstatements about former president Barack Obama’s presidential records after several days of misinformation that had been spread by former president Donald Trump and conservative commentators.

Since the FBI search of his Florida home and club this week for classified documents, Trump has asserted in social media posts that Obama “kept 33 million pages of documents, much of them classified” and that they were “taken to Chicago by President Obama.”

In its statement, NARA said that it obtained “exclusive legal and physical custody” of Obama’s records when he left office in 2017. It said that about 30 million pages of unclassified records were transferred to a NARA facility in the Chicago area and that they continue to be maintained “exclusively by NARA.”

I would bet he knew the democrats would eventually try to assassinate him and his whole family because he roots for America and Americans. And democrats absolutely hate America and Americans, the proof is in their policies and actions . So I figure got some evidence of their crimes to put on a kill switch had anything happened to one of his family members. He could release the goods .

Really? You might wanna recheck this sentence, as it makes no sense..................

"They do not have to be stamped "declassified" because Trump can still access them if the are not declassified."

If they are not declassified, no, Trump cannot access them as he is no longer president, and no longer has a need to know. In order to be able to access classified documents, not only do you need the required clearance (and I'm sure Trump's was voided after he left the WH, just like everyone who has a clearance has theirs voided when they leave the billet or job that they needed it for), but you also have to have a need to know.

And, I don't care how "safe" Trump's mansion is, it's still not a place that is allowed to store classified documents.
He should have rented Hillary bathroom for safe storage.

/----/ Why oh why, why, why.....

Bush Executive Order 13292 on Classified National Security Information

Donald Trump had a “standing order” that the documents at Mar-A-Lago were to be considered declassified, according to a statement the former president’s office provided to Just the News on Friday.

“The very fact that these documents were present at Mar-a-Lago means they couldn’t have been classified,” the former president’s office stated. “As we can all relate to, everyone ends up having to bring home their work from time to time. American presidents are no different. President Trump, in order to prepare for work the next day, often took documents including classified documents from the Oval Office to the residence.”

“He had a standing order that documents removed from the Oval Office and taken into the residence were deemed to be declassified,” the statement added. “The power to classify and declassify documents rests solely with the President of the United States. The idea that some paper-pushing bureaucrat, with classification authority delegated BY THE PRESIDENT, needs to approve of declassification is absurd.”

The Left in government leadership will attempt to contest that, but the President has very broad powers in this area. Obama himself solidified that power in 2009.

Obama’s executive order no. 13526, issued in 2009, laid out the stringent process all federal officials and agencies needed to follow for declassification but explicitly exempted the sitting president and vice president from having to follow those procedures.

There is also an executive order by George W. Bush in 2003 that covers it.

The standing order nonsense is a fresh Trump lie. Don't fall for it.

Trump took the documents because he wanted to.
But why? What could he have possibly wanted secret Intel/nuclear secrets for?

Black mail?

Was he planning on threatening to give them to foreign adversaries if his legal troubles got bad enough?

Was he going to use them as a way to be allowed to escape to Russia?

WTF did he want them for?

1. The President himself doesn’t pack up his own papers and effects, that is done by the GSA.

2. I’m not so sure anything was classified, the political FBI/DOJ can say anything they want, and because they say “classified” means they don’t have to show it either…isn’t that convenient?

He has betrayed our national security, and he will do so again… You cannot constrain him. He is who he is. Truth matters little to him. What’s right matters even less, and decency matters not at all
but keeping these documents out of the hands of xiden he was protecting our national security
