Why Rush Limbaugh would go to Costa Rica if Obama's healthcare plan passes

San José, Costa Rica – Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh said this week he’d go to Costa Rica for medical treatment if Congress passes proposed reforms to the US healthcare system.

That might sound like an unusual choice, since this is a country with one of the longest standing socialized healthcare systems on the planet. Everyone here (including resident foreigners), are required to pay into the government-run health system, whether they use it or not.

But Limbaugh’s choice may also serve to advertise what many Americans traveling here for medical treatment already know: Costa Rica is a fabulous place for medical tourism.

Life expectancy in this little Central American country surpasses that of the United States and at one point, back in the early 2000s when the World Health Organization rated countries’ general health, Costa Rica ranked higher (No. 36) than its n

Limbaugh also praised the medical care in Hawaii, one of the most progessive healthcare systems in the nation.

Thanks Rush!

Yes, because he used a PRIVATE hospital and paid cash when he was there.

Newsflash: He didn't use UHC in Hawaii.

Rush went to Queen's Medical Center in Hawaii.

Rush Limbaugh: Tests show no ailments after chest pain - USATODAY.com

From the above link "Limbaugh, 58, was released from The Queen's Medical Center two days after...."

What does that matter you ask? Well, Queen's Medical Center is a PRIVATE hospital.

About The Medical Center

From the above link "The Queen's Medical Center, located in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii, is a private, non-profit, acute medical care facility."

So, please keep showing how utterly stupid you are by claiming that Rush praised the UHC in Hawaii.

The words "progressive" would never come out of Rush's mouth if he was praising something.

Limbaugh's idiocy is believing that the healthcare plan was going to deny him access to the US healthcare he would prefer. Christ, the guy can hire a fulltime medical staff if he wants to and never miss the money.

Or he'g got a doctor friend down there.....

Or maybe he just doesn't want to trust his health to a system that is going to be turned inside out and run like the post office....

You're right, he COULD pay for it privately and he will....unfortunately, not all of us have the luxury of being able to afford to do that. We'll just have to settle for whatever we're given. And we're all familiar with that saying..."you get what you pay for" So the free stuff is worth....oh that's right....NOTHING!

The plan before congress now is a giveaway to the private insurance companies. There is no public option.

Way to go Rush

I knew you backed socialized medicine all along
