IMO it is GOOD news that COVID cases are going up with deaths continuing to trend down. This virus is so contagious it is just going to do what it wants. Younger people are now getting the virus in large numbers which should put us in a good position with herd immunity by the Fall.

No, it won't put us in better shape by the fall....You need 60 to 70% immunity to achieve herd immunity, there are not enough young people alone, to do this by fall....herd immunity, without a vaccine to help achieve it, takes about 5 years.... or longer.

Plus, you are failing to recognize that all those young people, have 5 to 10 older people that they interact with, regularly.... parents, teachers, grandparents, BOSSES, coworkers....who can get really sick, and yes...die, by the hands of this younger person, who spread the disease to them.

How do we know that? when was the last time we had something like this we could use as a template to figure things out?

Is the virus attenuating over time? Some of them do that, become less virulent as they bounce from host to host.

I'm just repeating what the Scientists have said, from their past knowledge, and testing, of the disease so far....

It is not until we reach 60 to 70% immunity, until the virus can die out.

but this virus, has shown the opposite so far.... the original corona virus from Wuhan was less virulent than the mutation that we got from the European Union....

How active? Are you sure? what test is being used? DNA/RNA testing can return positive results for dead virus.

Someone with antibodies can have live virus in them while the immune system is fighting off the infection.

We are not getting all the information, nor are we getting it in a proper format.

It isn't just the data from China..... They measured it...And the EU mutation is more virulent....

There are 7 or so additional mutations they have identified, and those were all snuffed out by the EU Mutation...those other mutations were less virulent.... it gave them hope....but then they saw the EU Mutation which is much stronger nd more deadly, snuff them out.... which surprised them.... it was suppose to do as you said, peter out with time, but that hasn't happened.

I got the information from the link you provided. There are 337 million people in the US with an average death rate of 3 million a year. Your 663 deaths even inflated is not shocking or surprising.

The election.....death rates are flat and the people getting infected now are experiencing a lot milder symptoms....but, they have to beat Trump so it will be Chinese Flu coverage wall to wall....

As to Cuomo? His state has fewer people than Florida and 30,000 deaths...Florida has more people and more senior citizens, the most vulnerable population, and 3,000 deaths.

But....Trump needs to be defeated so Florida is attacked while cuomo, who put sick people in with senior citizens, causing the most deaths by the Chinese Flu...is a saint.....

It will take a lot longer than that. You need at least 80% of the population to be immune for that.
