Why are there not democrats on Mount Rushmore?

Why only Republicans?

Hilarious!

There are no Republicans portrayed on the other mountain sculpture, that on Stone Mountain in Georgia.

So it all evens out.

Why only Republicans?

Hilarious!
i don’t think it’s fair to say Washington or Jefferson were republicans

Thomas Jefferson's sympathies were in favor of the Common Man... in that, he was a Democrat, in the stereotypical post-WWI definition of the label.

Abraham Lincoln's sympathies were in favor of the Common Man... in that, he, too, was a Democrat, in the vein of that same definition...

Nowadays, REAL Republicans are appalled at what their beloved Party has become... a home for gullible myopic fools drunk on the Orange Kool-Aid...

If those four could reappear amongst the living for a while, each, in turn, would spit on both your Orange Baboon-God and his servile beer-belching trailer-trash Moonies...

I freely and happily admit that the stereotypical post-WWI image of Democrats as the Party of the Common Man is receding as their latter-day Elitism rears its ugly head...

But that has no bearing whatsoever upon whether or not those four men depicted on Mount Rushmore would stand with or approve of your so-called modern-day GOP...

Nor the Orange Turd leading you by the nose down the wrong road.

hahaha the dems were never about the common man.

post WW1 the dems leader was Wilson, a racist, elitist bigot that supported eugentics…and literally starlizing by force people that were undesirable. Concepts adopted by the national socialist

Lincoln was murdered by a radical dem, and fought dems to keep the union together and end slavery

Teddy Roosevelt was a Liberal Republican in every sense.

Lincoln was a Democrat in practice in every sense.

Jefferson was a Democrat literally.

Washington was neither, and warned about the dangers of political parties.

What there isn't on Mt. Rushmore is one single conservative.

Your party has long since crossed the border of what could be considered "progressive" or "liberal."

"Radical left-wing Marxist now is a far better description. The only thing you guys and girls have in common with those historical American liberals and progressives, is your lust for an ever-expanding government.

Tell that to New Deal beneficiaries.

Tell that to Social Security beneficiaries.

Tell that to MediCare beneficiaries.

Wilson was, indeed, a racist, by all accounts.

What does that have to do with whether or not he and his Party morphed into the 20th Century's Party of the Common Man in the US, displacing the old Lincon-era GOP?

Yep. That was before the political poles flipped... the Democrats of old are the Republicans and legacy Dixiecrats of today... the Dems are now more like the Pubs started-out to be.

By the 1930s... reinforced by the 1960s... the Republicans were the Fat Cat Mouthpieces, and the Democrats had learned to play the Common Man Game better than you.

But that ruins their talking point.

These squealing Trump cultists would have been the ones snitching out the Minutemen to the Church of England.

They would have crucified Lincoln for his belief in the primacy of labor over capital.

The would have thrown Roosevelt out of their party over the Square Deal.

And Jefferson's progressivism and tax ideas would have had these guys peeing their panties.

hhhahaha the parties never flipped

There was one attempt to put a Democrat on Rushmore.

However the train carrying the huge block of coal got stuck in a tunnel as it was leaving West Virginia. That led to the transportation slowdown that is keeping your kids from having the Christmas Toy they demanded.

As you deal with their tantrums don't forget to say:

Thank You President Obama!

say it, of course, with proper reverence while facing Mecca.

Poor old white failure gets very jealous of successful brown people.

Never realized that. Thanks.

I figured out why: Because Mt. Rushmore "glorifies white supremacy" and God knows, the Democrats have never had a history of racism, white supremacy, opposition to civil rights, and bigotry.

SHHH! The Dems & fellow anarchists and their unruly mob will put makeup on it & glitter bomb it before literally bombing it dust.

Known informally as the Jeffersonian Republicans, this group of politicians organized in opposition to the policies of Federalists such as Alexander Hamilton, who favored a strong central government.

Republican leader Thomas Jefferson won election to the presidency in 1800. This Republican party, which would hold power until 1825, is the direct ancestor of today's Democratic Party.

Jefferson was the first Democrat president.

Jefferson was the first Democrat president.

Let's see: Jefferson favored a largely rural populace with limited governmental interference. He wanted a republic system in which power is shared by the states and federal government. Jefferson envisioned a federal government of limited powers. He felt it was important that the national economy be based in agriculture and the labor of the independent farmer. He rejected God as a trinity and heralded the moral teachings of Jesus. He had "a radical faith" in the ability of ordinary citizens to arrive at responsible decisions, eliminated the whiskey excise and other taxes, believed in American expansionism westward and southward, believed that society should retain the right to restrict immigration to those who share America's republican values, was against censorship in the media of the time, was a leading opponent of judicial supremacy, and believed that it is the right and duty of American citizens to be at all times armed.

Those things Jefferson espoused have nothing in common with today's Democrat Party.
