2 right-wing activists plead guilty in hoax 2020 election robocall scheme

Prosecutors in Ohio said false pre-recorded messages warned thousands of minority voters against voting by mail.

"Jacob Wohl, 24, and Jack Burkman, 56, were indicted in October 2020 in connection with a scheme that Cuyahoga County prosecutors said targeted thousands of minority voters with pre-recorded messages that falsely claimed they could face mandatory vaccines or be tracked by law enforcement if they voted by mail. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said in a statement after the pair pleaded guilty that voter intimidation would "not be tolerated" in the state. The Federal Communications Commission announced last year plans to fine the pair $5 million and they're being sued in federal court in New York City after being accused of making threatening robocalls that N.Y. Attorney General Letitia James said were designed to suppress Black voters. Meanwhile, Wohl and Burkman are "appealing criminal charges filed against them in Detroit stemming from a similar bogus robocall scheme targeting Black voters," AP notes."

Why are Democrats going after brave patriots who are just trying to inform black voters of the dangers they face if they vote? Why are Dems going after people who are exposing their diabolical plan to arrest blacks if they show up to the polls to vote? This is straight up voter intimidation and suppression being done by the Democrats -- and the true patriots who are standing up on behalf of the blacks; people like Jacob Wohl, these are the people Democrats are punishing?? This is outrageous...I thought Dems cared about voting rights, I thought they wanted the "blacks" to vote....now we see, they only want blacks to vote so they can later arrest them. Shameful..

Good thing that they didn't stand in front of a polling place with batons and glare menacingly at voters.

They were claiming false things (you'll be vaccinated if you show up at polling places, the police will track you if you vote by mail).

If those things were actually true (they weren't), THEN it could have been considered a public service announcement. However, since the information was false, it is considered voter intimidation, since they are using false information to discourage people from voting.
