Most of the violence supposedly directed to the left is either fantasy or air. Real violence like gunshots and real threats are ignored if directed rightward.

But all the sudden we here all this noise about how the lefties are being all so courageous about fantasy righty violence. (If there is violence in the political sphere, I am again it, no mistake. But I don't see it coming from this side.)

Boortz has a list of why all the sudden "violence" talk. It obscures some realities they don't want discussed.

They don't want to have to defend the revelation that Obama and his family will not be subject to the restrictions, requirements and penalties of ObamaCare.

They don't want to have to explain how an insurance company can charge lower premiums when its healthier policy holders take a hike and they're forced to insure people who are already sick.

They don't want a discussion on how our children and grandchildren are going to pay off the massive debt they will have to overcome courtesy of ObamaCare.

They don't want to have to defend the gimmicks they used to force the Congressional Budget Office to falsely report that ObamaCare would reduce the deficit.

They don't want to discuss the logic fining a young person 2.2% of their income if they refuse to buy an insurance policy they think they won't need that would cost them 10% of their income.

They don't want to have to explain just why ObamaCare will not follow the path of Medicare and the prescription drug benefit ... the path to actual costs over and above projected costs by a factor of 10 or more.

....
They don't want to discuss just why Democrats absolutely refused to consider simple and easily enforced private sector options, such as allowing insurance companies to sell their policies across state lines, before moving toward healthcare nationalization.

They don't want to explain just where in the Constitution they found that nifty little clause that gives the government the authority to use its police power to force a free American citizen to enter into a contract to purchase something from a private company against their will.

They don't want to have to explain why Caterpillar has already announced that as many as 1000 workers will lose their jobs after the passage of ObamaCare.

It's called deflection. The demoncwats know they have screwed up,, now they play their victim card in hopes we will forget, but we won't forget.

Excuse me

The last time I remember shooting a right winger was back in the 80's.

It involved Reagan and an assualt gun ban was issued.

But you can shoot a lefty church up, close down their state campaign HQ by force, tear gas their demonstrations and throw rocks into their offices and we suppose to act as if it is part of a socialist wild imagination? You are kidding, right?

By the way, I disagree with Boortz reasons for discussion of violence. He raise interesting points that we can still discuss regardless of whos office is destroyed

If we defend the so called violent actions and retoric, it makes us the bad guy. It's all part of a comprehensive plan to pass the rest of their agenda, which includes, amnesty for illegal immigrants, cap and trade, and a national sales tax in addition to income tax.

We have to continue to protest peacefully and call them on their accusations of violence.

So now they are twisting their own violence into the oppositions fault.

There is no reasoning with these people.

they live in an echo chamber

There is a lot of fury on the right, but the only actual violence was shots fired at the minority whip's house.

But all this noise covers a lot of very harsh realities that will come home to roost over the near term. We are already getting layoffs because of this, and the realities of non coverage are percolating. Your talk is mostly noise to cover the real hurricane of bad economic news headed towards us as a result of all this.

Boortz is right. It's a deflection intended to direct media attention AWAY from all the healthcare details they don't want to talk about. But... there's more. The purpose is two-fold. Politically, they have no answer for the Tea Party movement... and they need to smear it and paint it as a lunatic fringe.

Barack Obama has polarized this country's population, behaving as a hyper-partisan. And naturally, with such a gulf between them, folks are pissed off and bickering. They're USING that polarization, or attempting to use it, to suit their own political ends. It's the ENDLESS Obama campaign, and we're all weary of it. But we can't give up and we can't give in. We've got to outlast them, and redirect the national conversation from the rhetorical to the substantive.

So the tea partiers can do whatever they want and no one can say anything about it or its their fault?

Can you go get me that story about the attack on the minority whips house I havent heard about it?

What we have is slavering liberal jihadists trying to create a violent confrontation. This is the way Chicagans do business, and our liberal friends think they finally have been let loose, and can behave the way they've always wanted to.

They're just animals. In four years, they'll be gone...in loony bins and jails where they belong.

They want us to be violent. That's why they are trying to convince people that we are.

It's worse than that. They want to justify being violent towards us, and they want to convince people that we should be "shut up".

I am not calling for violence, but I will not be surprised when it happens. Who knows? Maybe a couple of dead Senators and Representatives could be good for the country? The surviving Congress might remember whom it is they are supposed to represent.

The problem is that the right wing media stirred up the Tea Baggers into a rage as a way to stop healthcare. It makes good TV.

The problem is...what do you do to turn them off once they have started??

Thanks for your example of right wing thinking.....

Exactly why Americans are repulsed by you
