Former Israel MK Urges Universal Laws against Holocaust Denial

Tichon said that one of its primary objectives is to convince countries to make the Holocaust illegal in the face of growing Holocaust deniers, including heads of state. He emphasized he was not referring only to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Tichon explained that laws against Holocaust denial would allow countries to place offenders on trial and help reduce the encouragement of anti-Semitic attacks, which earlier this month were aimed at synagogues in France and Lithuania. The Task Force also encourages appropriate forms of Holocaust remembrance.

Its member countries are Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Europeans are behind this law as it was first adopted and passed by them. Israel only recently adopted them after 50 years later, because it prevents nazi cocksuckers like you from spreading anti Semitism.

israel was the first country to specifically pass laws prohibiting free speech regarding the holocaust. they did so in 1986 and have been pushing other countries to pass such laws since.

i have not ever denied the heartless killing of millions of people in NAZI extermination camps.

israel's law was passed 38 years after her founding.

PF Tinmore asks a very important question;

" What are they afraid of?
"

Seal, this is the heart of the matter they are afraid not only of the truth but that the truth will come out !!! This can be seen in Roudy"s responce to your post, he does a document dump that has little if anything to do with the question at hand. They are afraid of you and Tinmore because you know and speak the truth and they are unwilling to deal with it because holocaust denial and anti-Semitism actually play into their game of self pity. They constantly bring up the Holocaust in order to garner sympathy for the State of Israel. You never hear any of them express any sympathy for the victims of other Holocausts, as a matter of fact they seek to limit the use of that word to and for the Jews. It would be easier to feel empathy for them if they were to at least admit that other people have suffered as much as they have most notably the Romani and the Irish.

They are afraid to respond to you Seal because you always tie them up with the truth !!!
When they do respond to you all they usually are able to come up with are vulger insults which say more about their character than any thing else.

that law was written immediately after WWII to to prevent a revival of the NAZI party in a particularly volatile area. the amendment to that law that specifically prohibits grossly downplaying genocide was written in 1992.

the first modern day holocaust denial law was passed by israel in 1986.

most of these laws were written against the intent to incite and amendended in the 90s to include genocide, and to sometimes include the holocaust..

i cannot stand in front of the british embassy on st. patricks day and scream "kill the english" and claim i was exercising my first amendment rights. i was inciting violence.

i am not showing my ignorance, i am showing yours. certainly everybody is ignorant but my ignorance doesn't extend to not understanding the diferences between laws against holocaust denial and those against public incitement. nor am i confused or ignorant as to tthe purpose of amendments to law.

for instance, one could make the claim that the constitution prohibited slavery. one could also correcctly claim that the constitution did not prohibit slavery. before 1864 it didn't. after 1864, it did.

figure it out. by the way, you neglected to post this, which is part of the amendment to the german law, a definition of what constitutes genocide...

§ 6 Genocide

(1) Whoever with the intent of destroying as such, in whole or in part, a national, racial, religious or ethnic group:

kills a member of the group,
causes serious bodily or mental harm to a member of the group, especially of the kind referred to in section 226 of the Criminal Code,
inflicts on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction in whole or in part,
imposes measures intended to prevent births within the group,
forcibly transfers a child of the group to another group, shall be punished with imprisonment for life. (...)[26]

seems like israelis are violating what many nations consider genocide. i would be very surprised if the above is in their law. i hope it is.

Roudy says...

"Do you have a reading comprehension problem? The laws were passed initially to prevent Nazism from rising again, and later amended to include inciting hate speech, and denial of genocides of ALL PEOPLES. Fucking idiots."

and all i said was that the first HOLOCAUST DENIAL LAW was passed by israel in 1986.

No, you tried you blame Israel and the Jews for "Holocaust Denial Laws", without a shred of proof, and failed miserably. I provided you laws that were passed in Europe, and you couldn't show me where it refers to Jews or the Holocaust specifically. And now with this bullshit answer and diversion you just struck out.

Time for whining again?

And one more thing...seems like you forgot to keep track of your socks, cockSOCKER, you responded to my comment to Patrick with "I". OOPS! What do you think, should I forward your post to the mods/admins for further review? Ha ha ha!

what i did was post an article from a jewish newspaper about an ex knesset member who was meeting with representatives of some foreign states, including the United States, in order to persuade them to pass "holocaaust denial" laws and to develope strategies on how to get "holocaust denial" legislation passed in their countries.

it was an answer to another poster who claimed that ews were insignificant parts of the populations and had very little to do with getting such legislation passed.

"Time for whining again?" i really have no idea. i am not familiar with your schedule nor do i want to be. if you must, feel free. when you are done whining, you may get back to me, or not, if you prefer.

When they do respond to you all they usually are able to come up with are vulger insults which say more about their character than any thing else.[/quote

oh, i got a PM awhile back saying that some of them were going to boycott my posts because i was making them look bad or something. the person said it started with Lipush...some such silliness.

so what they have given me is a bully pulpit. that's OK.

What are they afraid of?

i don't really think they are afraid of anything. i think you have to understand jewish culture and their incessant need for attention that results in their making mountains out of molehills. the result is that their common sense becomes overwhelmed with their need to be on center stage.

they say they are afraid of "anti-semitism."

think about it.

the only people who really listen to holocaust deniers are true believers anyway. the preachers of denial are only preaching to the choir.

however, holocaust denial legislation raises the hackles of all those who believe in free speech and they draw attention to the jews, as well as making people listen to the holocaust deniers.

basically, ridiculous holocaust denial laws, i am sure, create more anti-semitic feelings than all the holocaust deniers in the world ever could.

PF Tinmore asks a very important question;

...this is the heart of the matter they are afraid not only of the truth but that the truth will come out !!![/QUOTE]

What truth comes from the Holocaust Denial Movement?
You're busted, Patty :D
