Who votes in a straw poll?

Why they do of course.

Usually the members of caucus, but a straw poll is a non binding vote and the name probably comes from the non durability of straw itself. Remember the three little pigs? The straw house only took one huff to blow down.

Hay is better as a food source. Never have hay polls though, things that make you go hmm.

You can take a straw poll at any function open to legitimate party members.

About all it's good for is an indication of fund-raising potential since the most active party animals are there.

I have never voted in one, just who votes in them?

do they poll straw?

I think in Ohio--people had to pay to vote in the straw poll. I know they don't really mean that much. Candidates can opt out in participating in them. Like Romney opted out of participating in the straw poll in Ohio.
