Who made the decision to bomb Syria without Congressional consent?

Who made that call? Biden?
Congressional consent??..ever hear of the War Powers Resolution passed in Sept of 2001. Congress gave G.W the power to 'go after Saddam' for 9/11. Voters wanted retribution for 9/11 so stood by and let congress pass some bad legislation. This War Powers Resolution was one, the other was the Patriot Act. The War Powers Resolution pretty much gives POTUS the authority to by pass congress when it comes to initiating military operations against other countries.

So Biden unilaterally made the call?

"This makes President Biden the seventh consecutive US president to order strikes in the Middle East," said California Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna. "There is absolutely no justification for a president to authorize a military strike that is not in self-defense against an imminent threat without congressional authorization."

Looks like Biden pissed off some Dems

Yesterday, Sen Tim Kaine (D-VA) introduced a resolution (S.J. Res 10) to strip Biden of his unilateral war powers in the Middle East.

S.J.Res.10 - A joint resolution to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq, and for other purposes.

There is an article about it here:

For the record, I am not in favor of just about anything Tim Kaine does, so I am probably not in support of this bill either, even though we all know Biden has compromised judgment and war sux. Presidents often have to make decisions about strikes on a moment's notice.

Indeed. But that doesnt make it right, or constitutional.

This bill needs to be about 3 or 4 sentences. What do you bet it will be hundreds of pages with a bunch of bullshit?
